Jones only had 11.3% of pass attempts out of the pocket.  While not a knock on him, given the scheme and protection he had, the lack of experience in that area would need development. I'm not sold on giving him our top pick.

This entire board has severe trust issues after decades of Marty Hurney reaching for players three rounds too early. No one in the Panthers org is drafting Mac Jones in the first round. If they get him it will be in the later rounds. I still think all the Senior Bowl chatter was a combo of Rhule trying to gas him up in a nice way, and sports writers being lazy, unoriginal hacks.

Tua went #4 overall and was less impressive in college.
