At this point, you can make as many offers as you want for Watson, but the Texans aren't listening to any of them. Doesn't sound like they'll be changing their mind anytime soon either.

I hope the Texans force him to sit and choke on their lack of picks from other dumb moves. Since we have no hope of getting a good QB because they are already gone, official 2022 Watson train, thanks Texans!

If he's not traded by the draft, I don't think he's traded this season at all.

But given that the Texans are dug in deep on this and that his agent recently denied the suggestion that he'd refuse to participate in OTAs, I don't think he's going anywhere. Frankly, that's what a lot of people in the business think.

On the other part of that post, does that mean the Saints acknowledge that Taysom Hill just may not turn out to be the greatest QB to grace the planet?  I am surprised, said no non-Saints fan ever.

I liked the article, but a quick peek at overthecap shows that cutting JJ Watt saves them $17.5M and cutting Brandon Cooks saves another $12M, with $0 dead cap for both.  That's $29.5 off the books. The article says that they're $23.5M over if they trade Watson. That's $6M left over to help sign the rookies they get. #8, #39, their 3rd and 2 4ths would go a long way towards keeping them competitive on the cheap.
