I think our WR corps is a little better now than when we lost Ginn. Curtis is simply a luxury we can't afford. He's a WR3 and will lose targets with the return of CMC. Loved watching him, but we need to let someone else pay him to be a WR2 and make good use of the comp pick.

Out WR corps is infinitely better now than when we had Ginn. But I still would rather keep Curtis, especially if he can be signed at $10mil a year or less

It may be more likely than most think.  There are a TON of excellent WR free agents this year, and the salary cap is going to be an issue for almost every free agent.  He may find his market more like 8 or 9 million a year, and we could probably afford that depending on our quarterback situation.

I agree, but remember what happened once Ginn left? I hope we don’t see a repeat.

One thing Curtis had that Ginn lacked were these things called hands.  It was frustrating that the guy could run past DBs to get open, have the ball hit him right where his hands would be (if he had them), and bounce away and fall harmlessly to the ground.

I liked Ginn, and it was not like defenses could just let him run free because he would catch one often enough to make it worthwhile to have somebody run with him, but I held my breath every time a pass headed his way.

    • The new (released today) FOX ONE app will allow you access to watch your Local FOX Station - similar to how the Paramount Plus app allows you access to watch your local CBS station It'll cost you $20/month for the privilege, but if you're having trouble accessing the over-the-air antenna for FOX, this could be an option to consider the new ESPN app will give you access to ESPN content, but not to the local ABC affiliate. A reminder: if you currently get ESPN via some TV provider (cable, satellite, youtube, etc) then you should be able to use the new ESPN app via your provider login, no additional payment required
    • Not even close!!! BURNS was a one trick pony who had a big game or two a year in the sack collum and was invinsible the rest of the time....   Heck hes gonna be the Giants fourth best rusher this year.
    • XL went to one of the worst teams in the NFL.  One that features a weak passing O and bad overall QB play on the season.   XL is getting way too much hate IMO.   He had an okay rookie season all things considered.   Very much on par w/ prospects that projected around the same area with him.   Panthers made a 2nd rounder a first round technicality for that contract.  XL also getting this weird kicker type blame for games.  XL somehow single handedly lost us games on one play.....and then we ignore the rest of the team that went about losing the game for 4 quarters.   Should he of caught the Philly ball? 100%.  The O and D still played like garbage that entire game.  Even after the drop, Panthers had two shots starting w/ a 3rd and 4 to convert.  They kept playing bad instead.  And even if we XL made the play....Philly would have had a minute and half to get into FG range to win it.  Who is banking on the Panther D getting that stop?  also, I am deemed Mr. Negative, yet here I am defending a no good dirty Gamecock lol
