Mahomes magic could not get it done. He was running for his life. Brady didn't play lights out. He had a good line and game plan. But the Bucs LB's were killer and they put pressure on QBs and knew how to cover a great TE's. Having Mahomes and all that weapons did nothing for them. All the talk of having a franchise QB doesn't mean a lot when you don't have a team around him. Look at both teams for confirmation. All the talk of how bad we need a franchised QB is not the end all - be all answer. 

We need Moton back and a solid LT ASAP (draft or FA). Maybe when the cap lower next season, someone will be available that we didn't expect.

A solid offensive line allows you to compete with anyone, but the game is made for the o-line to eventually lose on every play if it goes on long enough.

We have to improve the O-line. Retain Moton; grab competent, durable LT; develop one new guard; retain other veteran guard; grab next C in draft if possible. Add TE support.

Here's a mock I did last night around the end of the game.

I wasn't intentionally going OL heavy, it just worked out that way.  Humphrey and Meinerz were the best guys on the board at positions of need when it was my turn to pick.  I'm taking a LT in the 2nd round regardless.  That would solidify our OL for several years! Oh, and re-signing Moton this offseason too.

Mike Remmers helps ruin another SB. OL is important. Can't overlook them.

Tampa drafted 3 of the 5 guys highly on their SB winning OL, (2) in the second round and Wierfs in the 1st.  That's how you build an OL.  Oddly enough, the two FAs were from small schools, one FCS and the other Division III.

They’re definitely important and I don’t think anyone would say differently. Chiefs didn’t have their all pro right tackle and pro bowl left tackle. We don’t need elite line play we need solid play. Mahomes barely got time in that pocket and they kill teams with those deep passes. He looked like he was back at Texas tech running around playing backyard football. It was ugly. His receivers didn’t help the situation.

KC has a solid oline when healthy. They couldn't overcome their backups. It gave too big of an edge to TB.

Olines matter? Just craziness.

No one can cover KC's weapons if you give Mahomes time to anticipate. He had no time last night. poo, he still nearly threw a half a dozen miracle bombs running for his life. 

This was the first time someone was able to get to him as quickly as that. It didn't help that they couldn't get that kind of pressure on Brady, either. Remmeber that was the same QB who threw 3 INT's the week before.

This franchise has failed massively with putting an OL together for a long time now. When will they learn? I hope they took notes from this years SB.

So....you are saying football is a team sport??????
