I can't find much to disagree with other than Etienne, but then again he's pretty much the consensus #1 RB. I just see zero special traits and a "good" college RB who benefitted greatly from playing in an elite college offense. I think he's a JAG in the NFL but we'll see.

I think he is some weird combo of James Davis and CJ Spiller.   Both NFL JAGs.  But that combo could work in the NFL.  He got legit NFL speed.  Probably runs a 4.3 at the combine.    Not as shifty as Spiller but runs stronger.

I'm kinda all in on Zach Wilson at this point. I've really liked him dating back to November but watching more, dude has Mahomes vibes. I'm not saying he's Mahomes but he has special arm talent. I haven't made the decision between Lance and Fields in part because I just don't care. Go get me Wilson. Take my money.

Lawrence is no question the safest QB pick. If he's a bust it'll surprise everyone. BUT, it won't shock me if ten years from now Zach Wilson ends up being the guy. He's just way riskier and if you took him over Lawrence and he didn't work out... oh wee mayne.  You might not even be able to get a job so much as talking about football.

I don't think that's particularly small for a QB in the NFL. Pretty sure Cousins is right at that size, and Matt Ryan is close to it.

With rookies I don't worry as much either because they'll add a little size for the NFL as well.

Matt Ryan is 220lbs. I dunno Wilson just looks frail to me kind of like Kyle Allen. For comparison trey Lance is 225 but it’s all in his legs. He could play at 235-240 and be fine. I don’t think Wilson could bulk up much. Just something to think about. I am not doubting his arm talent. It’s big time.

We desperately need to beef up this oline regardless of who we draft. But drafting a qb who is 210 and us missing on oline picks would be a disaster.

That’s my whole beef with him . He gonna get destroyed at the next level . He doesn’t look 6’3  either . Someone post the gif of him against costal when they thru lil man around like a rag doll lol all you gotta have is one good college season and your the next mahomes lol i hope we draft him so we can see how dumb it is to be fooled by off platform throws

Nice list, well since I agree with the parts I know. I have no clue about RBs, none. I keep my focus on panther needs.

About the only small one is I have Paye as the best defender in the draft, above Rousseau even as a edge. Even for me hes in the 8th pick talks.

Lastly Im driving the Lance spaceship and got him next to Lawrence.

This whole list screams Marty hurney . I Had beef with his list last year too  . Esp his wr list . No Javonte Williams no Bateman no Astane Samuel Jr i can go on .

If it means anything, Javonte is my RB6 right now, I actually really like him, and I think he could easily go off the board in the 2nd-3rd round. I am not a huge fan of Samuel Jr. as I think he is very limited in the NFL. Bateman is a solid WR, probably my WR7-8, Tyler Johnson leaving hurt him for sure.

Paye is definitely a freak, nothing wrong with that.

  • I am not a fan of the TE crop.  I would have "Baby Gronk" Frieirmuth at 2 and Long at 3--but it depends on what you are looking for at the position.
  • You see Leatherwood as a pure T and not a T/G?  I tend to agree, but when I watched, he dominated at T.  Had a down 2020 compared to 2019, but moving to G is an overreaction.

Thanks for these--I am not far off.

As far as TEs go, I love the first two and then I think there is a bit of a drop off. Frieirmuth is such a wild card for me, and Long reminds me a lot of an Austin Hooper type TE.

Yeah I would not want to move Leatherwood inside, especially given the need in the NFL for solid tackles.

I think there’s Pitts and then a big gap to Jordan and Friermuth and then an ever bigger gap to the next group.

    • Give me Anthony Hill Jr or give me death
    • We need a Sam Off Ball Backer to pair with Lloyd. Lloyd is a strong Interior Will especially in Pass Coverage- but that is also Trevin Wallace’s archetype. Need a Rozeboom style run stopper. Rodriguez and Allen fit that
    • There aren’t that many ways to screw Day 2 up.  That’d be them making an obvious reach, or selecting at one of the few positions that we are pretty solid at. Because as excited as we are for the growth and improvement this team is showing, it’s still not an overly talented or deep roster. Honestly, there aren’t really many positions I’d feel bad about. Feelings about Bryce aside (because we are not going to select a QB), it’s really RB (bad positional value) and that’s it. I guess OT too since we grabbed Freeling in Round 1.    While not as high on my wish list as other spots, you can justify WR or TE.     Interior offensive lineman who would likely take over an interior spot either this year (at center) or guard (next for cap casualty of Hunt or Lewis)? Fine by me.   Dlineman? Yes, that’s a highly rotational position and we have zero quality depth.    ILB? Yep, could stand for an upgrade over Wallace.    EDGE? Absolutely wouldn’t hate another option to spell Phillips, Scourton, and Princely.    FS?  Would love to add better coverage skill set to the backend of the defense. Moehrig and Ransom are great in run support but not as good deep. Adding a more traditional FS would allow us to mix and match/run some 3 safety sub packages and or a big nickel type look with a SS down near the line for better run support in possible pass downs.    CB? Could stand to get better at nickel.
