Unpopular opinions are fine but I'm afraid this one doesn't make any sense.

If you're hoping somebody above us in the draft order makes a trade for Watson, why would you drive up the price?

That would actually make it less likely that they make that trade.

Ok do any of y'all play poker?  Ok Tepper is at the table with all the other high rollers do ya think he ain't gonna put chips on the table.  He is gonna be involved.  Does that mean he is gonna go all in on the Watson jackpot?  The Jets and Dolphins are the chip leaders and can make bigger pushes but we got a play.  Is it the one we need to make?

This is maybe one of the worst analogies I have read on the Huddle.

Yea i've been taking up for a couple of people on here lately but this scenario seriously just doesn't make any sense unfortunately. I have another drug bender in me to be up all night like last time but damn I just can't for this one.

      I mean, if Moore really wants out, then it would behoove the Bears to make it happen sooner than later. X is a lot younger and cheaper, and may be a better fit for Johnson's musings than a disgruntled, unnecessary, overpaid vet. If they can dump his salary and maybe get a fourth or so in return, it may be worth it to them. As for development, I'm not concerned. You're talking about a seeming bust, a day three guy and a UDFA.       IMO, if Ceedee plays against us, the game probably goes the other way. Same with Tyreek Hill and the Dolphins. Our team just isn't designed to beat teams with two high level receivers like that. But when you look at the league, how many teams really have two guys of that caliber?  There's nothing wrong with defensive adjustments, but sometimes I think a lot of fans want Evero to call a different play like a game on madden, and defensive football just isn't like that. That said, I thought we did a much better job this season against the Cowboys of flipping Jaycee and at least making them work for it, opposed to last season when they literally just lined CeeDee up on the other side of the field every single snap.  For us to just straight up switch to consistent man coverage, or a different zone, or whatever, we likely would consistently need different personnel on the field. Doing it a few times a game is a gamble and can work, but if we consistently run man coverage against the Cowboys, eventually a RB is going to beat a linebacker, or something of that nature with our personnel. Part of the reason Evero likes this scheme is that, while we have our defaults and presets, what we do is very multiple, and you can do a lot of different things pre and post snap. We are a challenging defense to read. But as you said, if guys are getting beat, it doesn't really matter what you call.
