Come on dude, SF is not giving up 2 first rounders and Jimmy G for Teddy and McCaffrey.

I doubt they would either. It's just the only way I can see HOU getting what they want for Watson without us completely gutting the team.

And to be fair, for a team that's only one or two players away from a championship caliber team, (if that's still how they see themselves) 2 1sts for McCaffery is not ridiculous.

Right and the schedule next year looks easier on paper and CMC could play full season, Brees retires. So many factors say we will not get a good draft position

Well, let's not get too far ahead of ourselves because we haven't even hit free agency or the draft yet. The opportunities may be there but there is an entire offseason's worth of league moves before we have even a partial look at the picture.

2 1sts for McCaffery is insanely ridiculous. You are talking about almost a Khalil Mack price for a RB. A RB trade of that price hasn't been seen in the NFL since probably the Hershel Walker trade.

I think any kind of move with Shaq is all about the $$$ coming off the books.

He got overpaid by Hurney and the front office and fan base knows it.  Hell, Shaq even knows it.

Fug Hurney.

We've already reached the out and don't need to trade him to get rid if his cap implications.

It's a very easy contract to deal with any time we want. Theres nothing to cuss Hurney about

My best guess is we told Teddy he's being traded or released as a niceity so he can start prepping a move/etc.  Same thing with Shaq & I do think Shaq is basically on the trade table w/HOU.

And after letting this stew a bit more, Lynch seems a bit more savvy of a GM than to want Teddy Bridgewater.  If I were the 49ers, would just roll with CJ Beathard until I found a young guy.  And then have Nick Mullens as the backup.

This may seem off the wall but I could see us needing to just release him (June 1 designation) and the team that could use him on the cheap would be Arizona as a backup to Kyler Murray.  Kyler showed some fragility this past year and they had nothing behind him.  And that's a bit of a dink and dunk friendly offense.  That's my perfect Teddy fit.

If we're trying to keep Burns, Brown & Chinn together, then we really have to find a team to facilitate and add a high level starter.  I wish the Steelers weren't in such a sh*t cap situation because I can see them as a perfect facilitator and could use Bridgewater.  They also have movable, valuable defensive vets and need to clear major space.  Joe Haden, Big Ben are likely getting new homes.  My big prediction non-Panthers is that Big Ben gets released and picked up by Chicago.

Dude, Seattle just traded 2 1sts, a 3rd and a borderline starter for Jamal Adams less than a year ago.

And they had to give him a new contract.  CMC's bonus has already been paid.

McCaffery, a 3rd and $20 million > Adams?

And before you but but but he's a running back...

RB: 2nd lowest paid offensive position ($1.9 mil)

S: Lowest paid defensive position ($2.7 mil)

I wouldn't have given that up for Adams either. But they also use him in a very unusual way as a pass rusher, so I suppose that was worth it for them. We will see how wise that is/was when we see what his price tag is this offseason or next. The deal they gave him was basically $9.9 mil for 2021. Nothing absurd.

You have lost your mind if you think anyone in the NFL would give up 2 1st rounders for CMC. Show me one team that is a RB away from a Super Bowl, has the cap space to take him and the draft picks to spend. Just name a single team.

I'll give you a hint, it isn't the 49ers.

I wouldn't have either. Not sure or our new buddy Fitts made the wisest choice there.

Both are unique players who can be used almost anywhere on the field and are clearly the best players at their position. But neither play premium high $ positions.

Would I give up 2 1sts for Teddy & CMC? No.

But that doesn't mean nobody else will. Or that they would be insane if they did.
