A lot of us didn't think much of Dorsey as a quarterback coach because of it.

Then he went to Buffalo and helped make Josh Allen what he is now.

Or maybe, just MAYBE, Josh Allen is better than Cam Newton.

Not shocking to see there are still a whole of lot of morons who can’t seem to show respect and appreciate the single most important player in franchise history. Even the biggest cam hater can’t deny that. 
 

there have been better players in those 26 season, but there has not been one more important.

Teddy's Time To Throw was 2.6 seconds(11th in the NFL) and Cam's was 2.84 seconds(27th in the NFL). 

Pat's allowed 37 sacks, Panthers allowed 36 sacks.

Cam's average PocketTime(PFR stat for amount of time before pocked collapses or the ball is thrown) was 2.6 seconds, Teddy's was 2.3 seconds.

New England allowed 48 hurries, Carolina allowed 42 hurries. 

New England allowed 109 pressures, Carolina allowed 111 pressures. 

I'd say the scheme probably favored us more than in New England and that our OL was definitely weaker. 

NE attempted 110 fewer pass attempts than Carolina.   NE was 31st in pass attempts (also 31st in pass play percentage)

and yet they almost allowed identical pressures, hurries, sacks, etc.  That doesn't jive with us being the weaker OL.

If Cam Newton is done then Matt Rhule doesn't deserve to coach another down of football if he couldn't even win more games than a bum Cam Newton with a month to learn a new system with dogsh*t weapons.

Cam is washed up.

He was never a great passer and now he consistently bounces passes to his receivers.

Somebody a while back suggested to me that I should listen to football players the same way I listen to pro wrestlers.

Not sure that's always true, but I have found some cases where it works.

For example, characterizing the only team that made an offer as "the team that made the most sense" kinda fits that filter.

The Pass Block Win Rate tells some more of that story. Let's also be completely honest, Cam is always going to tend to get sacked more because he tends to try to make bigger plays. That does force the OL to block for longer(reference his 27th ranked Time To Throw). 

That is also a criticism you can throw at quite a few of these modern scramblers(Russell Wilson comes to mind).

      Idk man, I think it’s necessary.  There’s people working 9-5s everyday that get told poo about what they aren’t and what they’re not capable of and they’re working for scraps.  These guys are making millions.  People are watching and invested because their team and fandom is a part of their identity and a big source of pride.  When someone like Bryce comes in and is given chance after chance after chance after proving he is not worthy of the position he’s being gifted, and he continues to be the biggest reason above any that we are losing, yeah…  I think it’s fair to call a spade a spade.  Am I saying Bryce the person is trash?  Bryce the person is a piece of poo?  Absolutely not.     I came up in an era, especially in basketball, where if you were fuging up people heckled the poo out of you.  I played in rec leagues as a teen where the fuging parents were calling kids trash and yelling poo like “TURNOVER!!!  TURNOVER!!!”  “CANT DRIBBLE!”  “CANT SHOOT!”  And that’s adults screaming that poo to kids like we were in the fuging Rucker lol.🤣🤣🤣  I went on to play basketball at a collegiate level and with professional players in different settings.  What those experiences as a kid taught me was to see if there is any merit to what people are saying, and if there is, then work my ass off til they can’t say that anymore.  Come back better, tougher, harder.  And I did.  If kids can figure that poo out, an adult calling another adult who is bad at his job while making millions and millions of dollars will be just fine.

      I have tried to like this team, lord knows I have tried. BY9 is a nice young man, if I had a daughter he can take her to prom, but he ain't QB1 and he's not Cam or Delhomme Chuba is a average RB, he isn't Stephen Davis, he isn't J-Stew McMillan has the makings of a good WR, but he isn't 89/Moose D. Brown is a great player, but if the game was on the line I want Kris Jenkins       I miss this brand of football, even in the bad Jake games the games were entertaining It has been nearly 8 years now of watching numb football

      I'm not so sure. Something about the whole Frank/Bryce situation seemed off from day 1. Bryce didn't fit Frank's QB mold as well as Stroud, then he basically gives up when Bryce is named starter in preseason but gets virtually no reps in games. Then he looks completely unprepared and Dalton steps in in Seattle, has a decent game under immense pressure, and it's right back to Bryce. All his mechanics are terrible and he's having the worst rookie season ever and Frank doesn't bench him?  You dont have to be a conspiracy theorist to know Bryce wasn't ready to be a day 1 starter. Everything with Bryce, then coaches, and the FO seemed forced.
