If we're talking last few years.  Bill's and Dolphins have been good or Atleast competitive and then the Patriots.  Last few years I would say AFC east is the stronger division... I also think the Jags had more talent surrounding Minshew if we're being realistic...

But like I said it could go either way for me depending on compensation.. I'd rather go with natural talent but the stats don't lie.

I disagree on the AFC East. It is much better now but historically(including Darnold's first two seasons) it has been regarded as one of the weakest divisions in the NFL. That is why that shade gets thrown at the Patriots a lot.

I think the weapons at Minshew's disposal were better but I also think Darnold doesn't escape all blame from the Jets offensive struggles. Gase deserves the bulk of it but Darnold has also just generally struggled as an NFL QB.

I'd rather have Minshew but I would take either.....provided the price is right.

He is one of the few QBs to grade out worse than Teddy did last year. I know he had Gase and people want to compare him to Tannehill, but he was never that awful even when playing for Gase.

I would take a hard pass. I think this is the kind of crap Tepper is hinting at not wanting, another scrub we want to make an all-pro overnight.

There's a LOT of truth there.  When you look at Tannehill's numbers, he actually IMPROVED under Gase as a QB.  The team didn't succeed under Gase, but Tannehill learned and improved.

I don't want either of the Sams - Darnold or Donaldson - as our QB, let alone give up anything to acquire them.  The fact that they are willing to talk about it is a pretty good indication that they want to go QB, but can't figure out how to make that work.

I'd be interested but Teddy should be staying if we trade for him. I'd treat Darnold the same as a draft prospect.

There is no reason to trade for a 3 year NFL starting QB that you think is a "draft prospect." If you don't think he can beat out Teddy, he isn't worth obtaining.

You can say what you want about Darnold but poo talking Sam Donaldson will get you jumped around these parts. Tread lightly, partner.

His situation is unique. He's only 23 yo, younger than last year's #1 pick.

    • Completely agreed.  TBH, we have had so many great players that are in my favorite list, and I hate to narrow it down to one, but Cam is it.  Which is crazy, because you would think it would be more of the guys I grew up watching, but no.  Cam was the single most impactful player to ever out on a football uniform imo.  And like I said in an earlier post, I always felt a kinship with him in a lot of ways…  the way he was treated and judged for the off the field stuff in Florida and having to overcome all of that and fight show at back.  And although I am not a black man, I have always been welcomed by and accepted more by minorities, and thus, I know what it’s like to be judged by appearances rather than the content of your character and who you actually are.  I know what it’s like to be stereotyped and written off or mistreated for your mistakes.  I know what it’s like to be held to a different standard while your peers don’t have to meet that same standard.  So I always related to that.  And the way he came in and just electrified the whole franchise, man…  I still think about it often how much it sucks that because of how talented he was, our staff out so much on him and that ultimately cut his career short.  You’re right, there will never be another Cam…  I think Josh Allen is the closest thing we will see for a long time, but Allen is not the running threat Cam was.  Cam could run you over or around you.  That was THE absolute funnest time to watch our team ever.
    • It definitely needs more specificity than is baked in now.
    • The weirdest encounter I had with a pro athlete was waiting in line at security at Mile High Stadium when I used to get the company suite tickets almost every week because I was the only employee based in Colorado. There's a small checkpoint accessing the suites that virtually no one knows about that you can usually squirt right through. I was standing there and looked over my shoulder and there stands John fuging Elway waiting in line behind me.  This was during the The Golden Calf of Bristol season right before he became GM. I just said "They make YOU go through security?" He's like "Yeah, ain't that a bitch. I literally have a statue out front and I gotta go through security like everybody else." I've heard mixed things about him but he was super nice and down to earth with me that day.
