So not even 2 hours in we're already in Family Dollar Fitterer mode.

He warned you that we were going to the dollar store so stay in the car and roll the windows up.  And no you're not getting any candy.

Outside reaction so far is...not positive.

That's not always the best measuring stick though.

That is kind of how i feel.  I am waiting for them to make sense.  I get it if we waited until next week and looked at these guys, but during the tampering period (I know one was released, I think (but the longer you wait, the price goes down.  They must have a certain "type" they are looking for.  I firmly believe that the system must be a good fit, and I recall a player like Evan Mathis getting released here and becoming  a pro bowler in Philly--so let's see/

I think this draft is slammed full of quality OLinemen. The fact that we are picking up serviceable guys that can play a few positions, makes me think this move is to keep us flexible. If we trade draft capital for Watson or to move up for a QB, then we at least have some vets that can fill in. If we don’t move up, we can still target linemen in the draft knowing that the FAs we signed aren’t big name guys that eat up a lot of cap and they can compete with or backup the draftees. I don’t hate these moves at all.

You always bring sensibility to the Huddle.  Until I see the big picture, I am not totally in or out. These 2 contracts can be paid for by trading Teddy

I still think we draft a minimum of 2 OL next month.  One of which, being a starting LT (unless we sign one by then).

And Scott was not the worst--if we grab a T in the second and he needs a half season, we are probably OK.  Basically, we signed a Larsen who can compete at LG and a T that can play behind both ends of the LOS--the 19th and 70th picks in their respective drafts.

I don't hate the moves, just question the timing and the amount of money (very much related).

Spot on. Keeps us from reaching on draft picks to fill holes. Also gives up capable players in case we have no picks from Watson.

    • I mean the whole defense was trash, he was at least trying. Besides if you put a all-pro among 10 PSers, that all-world will look human. It's very hard to judge very bad units and find the best players among them. Horn and Mjack played well too, there was 0 pass rush and -1777784 run defense.
    • I was looking back and seen Evan Neal has made the switch to OG after awful years at OT.......I wanted him over Icky for his tricep alone..... I was 100% stroud too, I was super pissed about his record setting and playoff leading start......I had arich vastly over the midget BY too. But right now, BY is about the only one on the up&up. The Texans used lots of prime draft capital to help Stroud.  It's still not ready. But if you're honestly about past drafts, these GMs are not alone in making mistakes.  I still feel they should stayed put and allowed Carter to fall in their lap, but best I know Tepper had the worst rage about landing a QB for the past 5 years. The deal is with the correct coaching staff, Baker or darnold would still be here....Baker has signed 3 years for 100 million, which is a great NFL QB contract. Tepper hiring rhule and his shitty Baylor/temple staff was a massive setback given rhule was in control too. Then panic set in an d fitteerererererer had to make a winner and find a QB. Ugh.....I hope they are back...
    • Also maybe the biggest part is his fromer college buddy, Lord Lamar told the GM to sign him. It was done nearly right after and guess who was the first person Alexander met at ravens stadium??
