Yeah Texans clearly see the writing on the wall with Watson. This signing will also only just piss him off more and further cement his position. He’s getting traded before the draft, is my guess

Dolphins just signed Brissette too, so with the combo of him and Tua, I doubt they go hard after Deshaun in the event he is up for grabs.

Dangling Teddy in that trade offer was never a realistic option.

They're not paying 6 million plus.

They're paying less than 6 million.

"Less than $6M" likely means something in the high $5Ms and he's likely to hit some incentives because Deshaun is as good as gone. Gone to us? I'm not sure about that but he's done in Houston.

I'm not convinced he's gone this year. This sounds more like a prophylactic in the event Watson decides to hold out once the season begins not a replacement for Watson when he is traded.
