I don't mind a WR at #8, but I don't think he's (Waddle) better than Chase or Smith.  And I'd be really concerned about him staying healthy.

I think he's going to be a solid player but I just wouldn't take him over the other guys I expect to be available.  Personally, I'd be shocked if we took him at #8 without at least looking into trading down first.

Yes, I agree.  I suppose the context here is they want a game changer--a threat--a super talent--and not just a player to develop who could step into a key role.

And I am in the OT camp as well.  I think there are 4 good ones, but 1 is a RT who could possible play LT--Tevin Jenkins OKSt.

Little, Jenkins, Radunz, Leatherwood, Cosmi. These are all starting tackles that have a decent chance to be there at 39. Sure, I'd much prefer Slater or Sewell, but I won't bitch as long as a starting LT is found.

Waddle's comp is tyreke hill.  Who wouldn't draft tyreke hill at 8 if given the chance?

If Panthers want a weapon, my bet is the Panthers board looks like this:

1. Sewell

2. Pitts

3. Waddle

4. Chase

To be fair, I don't watch a ton of tape on these players, but Waddle's numbers dropped every year, even as Bama's offensive production went up. On the other hand Smith's production went up every year. I think I would prefer Smith or Chase over Waddle. Waddle reminds me a bit of that Clemson receiver that came out a while ago, he ended up just being a return specialist.

I am pretty damn confident in saying that Waddle will not be as good as Tyreek Hill.

You mean they dropped last year when he only played 5 games due to an injury? Look at his stats from last year on a per game basis. He was on pace for 75/1670/12 before he got hurt.

Devonta had more catches this season than Waddle had in his career at Bama.  Devonta is a tad taller and like 10 pounds lighter than Waddle.  Virtually no difference size wise.

Waddle is also coming off injury.

Devonta is light years better than Waddle.

I hope you’re joking.  If not your clueless.

he had 800+ yards as a true freshman playing in 15 games.  And dropped to 500+ playing in 2 less games sharing the WR room with upperclassman like Jeudy, Ruggs, and Smith who all were/are 1st founders.

Have other WR agents been leaking BS about Waddle?? Hes the real deal folks, a top ten LOCK. This years is heavy cream, in 2019 he would have gone 3rd. By real reports hes the type that plays hurt, real tough guy for the WR spot. No Chase, everyone would signing waddle as the top WR. Reports are he was the best form ALL the Bama WRs form 2019 til now.
