I know all this ^^^, I've known it for years, yet it still amazes me Hurney lasted as long as he did and after being fired (again) went on to get hired by the WFT.

On a more positive note:  Marty should give all Huddlers hope that, despite lacking an eye for talent or the ability to negotiate a reasonable contract, we too could someday become an NFL GM.  Hurney is living proof that it's not so much what you know, but rather who you know.

I didn't post that. Weird.

oh man watching  tape on Darnold just make so many mental errors in a clean pocket over & over & over

I just Immm am very skeptical of his success

let me elabaroate some..the game is very fast for him to mentally process

Agree to disagree - he processes the game well.

The mistakes come a) when pressured and b) when trying to play hero ball.

Is constant bitching really any different than constant blind homerism? Just curious.

Yeah, both sets of posters annoy me. I just don't really see a lot of difference in them.

I’m not saying all because that is certainly not the case, but many of the supporters of the Darnold move that I’ve read aren’t calling him the next league MVP. I think it was a mixture of feeling relief that we didn’t trade away our future on a draft prospect and some optimism that he can turn things around.

I have said since day one that he may not pan out. I really think best case scenario is he could end up being a Jake caliber QB. But I’m certainly glad we didn’t have to lose tons of future assets and I would rather give Darnold a try this year and draft a stud LT than draft a Trey Lance who clearly isn’t NFL ready at this point.

That isn’t blind homerism. I’m laying out my position pretty clearly. That’s the discussion part that’s been often missing these days.

I felt the same about the previous owner and regime. At this point I'll just wait and see what happens. If the team keeps making the same sort of mistakes they did under the previous owner, I'll just quit watching. So far the new guys have been meh. I can find other things to do on a Sunday afternoon than watch something that I have no hope in or get joy from watching.

I get it completely. I want to be excited but I am jadded as hell also and just want us to turn the corner in the best way. Plus, this offseason is the worst and the media is also at it's worst pre-draft. 48 hours after the draft there will be some quality discussion in a small window and then another long drought before they hit the field and we see how we did. At least we should have a good and fun D. If they make a cluster of it again, I'm a lot more likely to just be loud and annoying then stop watching. Too much FU in me to give up something that was once fun even if it's the sane thing to do.

Winston has unquestionably accomplished more to date than Darnold - which isn't saying a ton to be honest.  But Winston had a MUCH better team around him his first couple years... and Winston has a higher INT% than Darnold at 3.4% for his career, whereas Darnold is 3.2%.  And really they both had similar TD% numbers their first couple years in the league (Winston - 4.1%, 4.9%; Darnold - 4.1%, 4.3%)...  Of course, Winston has built on that (4.7% for his career), whereas Darnold cratered with Gase last year and that hurt his career numbers (3.7%). How much of that is Darnold vs Gase?  Hard to say. Limited sample of Tannehill is pretty crazy to see Tannehill's decline once Gase took over, and subsequent recovery once he left.  I hope Darnold does the same, but I am at best cautiously optimistic.

Yeah Winston basically had the Super Bowl winning roster minus Gronk/Fourbette/and obviously Brady. Good coach/staff in Arians and Leftwitch.

Looking at his Drafts as the Redskins GM I'm not sure he was the genius behind the throne.

Being in the right position helps. Being overpromoted can be a career killer. I think saying he had control issues is an understatement. His work at the right spot with Seattle proves that he produced in the right spot, they have been living off of that success as a team since 2014 and haven't come close to those results. Also, when has anyone looked good with WTF since Snyder took over?

If something is no longer fun, then I stop watching or doing it. I refuse to let something like football, (insert other thing here), get to me. There is too much we can't control. I can control how I spend my off time though.

Like this last season, when it's like that for me I am also doing something else fun so it kind of rubs off on the football and keeps it alive. I will be dumping the PSLs though. If I do want to ever go live again I can just buy some tickets and not have any commitment or care. I was a Browns fan growing up until they moved so all I know is pain.

IMO, your mindset is the same one the decision makers have and -again, IMO - it's a dangerous one. Trying to be the best bad team you can be right now can prevent making the moves you need to make to be the best team you can be for the next decade.

I'm not big on Lance. But if Fields is there at #8 he should absolutely be the pick IMO. Fields is the type of QB that would go #1 overall most years. This is just an insane QB class and it baffles me how many people seem blind to that and it's exactly why I was so pissed about that late season WFT win.

I get that some folks think this is just another Teddy 2.0 but I don’t know why people feel the need to be complete spoil sports and trash anyone who has a bit of optimism. Why not just go with the wait and see approach? This is the offseason. The only time of the year you can and should be as optimistic as possible.

I was pissed about that as well. I don’t think the mindset is “let’s be the best bad team we can be” though. This is your unwillingness to imagine any scenario where Darnold could succeed. You have already written him off. Fair enough, that’s your opinion, but I’m positive we didn’t just trade for him with the goal being to suck less. They think he can succeed.

Could they be wrong? Sure. This may not work out. But they don’t view him as a bad player in the same way you do. They think he can become the guy drafted a few years ago that had lots of talent.

And as opinions go, I’m not so sure Fields is the guy everyone thinks. I was a HUGE Fields fan 2 years ago. He was arguably better than Lawrence in my mind. But then last season happened and then you hear mixed reviews on him from scouts. I’m not so sure about him anymore personally. My main guy is Sewell. That’s who I want. If Darnold can be coached up then let’s get him a LT. If he can’t then we are likely taking a QB next year (if not 3rd round this year) and he has his blindside protection already in place.

Fields could be great but Sewell is as close to a can’t miss prospect as you get in the 2nd most important position in football. Everyone can bust. Sewell is much less likely to bust than Fields imo. I like Fields and he’s definitely got some tools that can make him a great QB. But it’s the draft process. Same was said about the guy we just traded for. I want to see what he can do here for a year. We’ve invested a 2nd in him. My hope is that worst case scenario we are in this same position next year but with a franchise LT in place. But I do believe Darnold will prove his doubters wrong. Not that I think he’ll ever be elite but I think he can be a solid QB. We’ll see.

I think Darnold was simply our best bad option. We wanted Watson. Obviously that didn't work out in large part due to reasons that couldn't have been predicted. We talked to the Dolphins about going up to #3. Understandably, we weren't willing to pay that price. We made a significant trade offer for a proven QB in Stafford. We obviously took a look at the draft board and anticipated the guy(s) we liked at QB likely wouldn't be available where we were selecting.

At best, Darnold was our fifth option. It is what it is. At least we don't have all that much invested in him all things considered given typical investments at the QB position and we've shown the willingness not to stick with our previous mistakes (see Bridgewater, Teddy).

It's going to be a long year.

If he fails then we got finesse by the Jets.

The Jets...

I would say if he doesn't pan out losing a future 2nd is a pretty low risk high reward gamble either way, and it sounds like you want him to fail anyways.  You can not like a move and still hope for the best.  So many people would rather be proven right at the teams expense than proven wrong it seems.

    • They can sell it in capsule form.  Capsule or pill form of it was around back in the 80's. It was called t-tabs.   Its illegal due to the odd vagaries of history.  If the ancient Romans had used pot instead of beer/ale, pot would be legal and beer would be sold on the black market.

    • Are you tired of trying different diets and exercise routines to lose weight without seeing any results? Do you wish there was an easier way to shed those extra pounds and get the body you’ve always wanted? If you answered yes, then you might be interested in learning about PhenQ, a popular weight loss supplement that promises to help you burn fat more effectively. PhenQ is a thermogenic weight loss supplement, which means it helps increase your body’s temperature to boost your metabolism and burn more calories. But how does it work? And more importantly, is it safe and effective? In this article, we will take a closer look at PhenQ, examining its ingredients, benefits, potential side effects, and what real users have to say about it. We’ll start by breaking down the science behind PhenQ. Understanding how a supplement works can help you decide if it’s the right choice for you. Then, we’ll dive into the specific ingredients in PhenQ and how each one contributes to weight loss. Next, we’ll discuss the potential benefits you can expect from taking PhenQ, as well as any possible side effects you should be aware of. Finally, we’ll share some real-life testimonials from people who have tried PhenQ to give you a better idea of its effectiveness. By the end of this PhenQ review, you should have a clear understanding of what PhenQ is, how it works, and whether it might be a good addition to your weight loss journey. So, if you’re ready to find out if PhenQ can help you achieve your weight loss goals, read on! How PhenQ Works: Ensuring Effective Weight Loss Appetite Suppression One of the main challenges people face when trying to lose weight is controlling their appetite. It’s all too easy to give in to cravings and overeat, which can derail even the best of weight loss plans. PhenQ addresses this problem by helping to suppress your appetite. But how does it achieve this? When you take PhenQ, it affects the levels of certain chemicals in your brain that are responsible for regulating hunger. By increasing the levels of these chemicals, PhenQ helps you feel fuller for longer periods of time. This makes it easier to stick to a calorie-controlled diet without feeling constantly hungry. Essentially, you’re less likely to snack between meals or indulge in high-calorie treats because your body doesn’t signal hunger as frequently. Moreover, appetite suppression helps in portion control during meals. Instead of eating large quantities, you naturally start consuming smaller portions. This gradual reduction in food intake can lead to a significant decrease in daily caloric intake, which is essential for weight loss. By curbing your appetite, PhenQ helps you develop healthier eating habits, which are crucial for long-term weight management. Metabolic Enhancement Your metabolism plays a vital role in determining how quickly and efficiently your body burns calories. A faster metabolism means you can burn more calories, even at rest, which can significantly aid in weight loss. PhenQ works by enhancing your metabolic rate, ensuring your body is in a constant state of calorie-burning. Metabolic enhancement involves increasing the rate at which your body converts food into energy. When you take PhenQ, it stimulates certain enzymes and hormones that speed up this process. This means that even when you’re not exercising, your body is working harder to burn off the calories you consume. An enhanced metabolism also means better nutrient absorption. When your body processes food more efficiently, it can extract the necessary nutrients without storing excess calories as fat. This not only helps in reducing body fat but also ensures that your body gets the energy it needs to function optimally. In addition to burning more calories, a faster metabolism can also improve other bodily functions. For instance, it can enhance your digestive system, leading to better digestion and less bloating. It can also boost your overall energy levels, making you feel more active and less fatigued throughout the day. PhenQ: Try it now, you won’t be disappointed! Reduced Cravings Cravings for sugary or fatty foods can be one of the biggest obstacles in any weight loss journey. These cravings can lead to unhealthy eating habits and make it difficult to stick to a balanced diet. PhenQ helps reduce these cravings, making it easier to resist the temptation of unhealthy snacks. When you take PhenQ, it helps stabilize your blood sugar levels. Fluctuating blood sugar levels are often a key trigger for cravings. By maintaining a steady level of blood sugar, PhenQ reduces the likelihood of sudden hunger pangs or cravings for high-sugar or high-fat foods. This makes it easier to choose healthier food options and avoid unnecessary calorie intake. Furthermore, PhenQ influences the production of serotonin, a neurotransmitter that affects mood and appetite. By boosting serotonin levels, PhenQ not only helps improve your mood but also reduces emotional eating. Often, people tend to eat more when they are stressed or upset. By keeping your mood stable, PhenQ helps prevent this type of eating, which can be detrimental to weight loss efforts. Reducing cravings is also about retraining your brain to make healthier food choices. Over time, as PhenQ helps you manage your cravings, you may find that you start to prefer healthier foods over sugary or fatty options. This shift in preferences can contribute significantly to long-term weight loss and overall health. Improved Energy Levels Many weight loss supplements can make you feel tired or drained because they cut down on your calorie intake. PhenQ, however, works differently. It not only helps you lose weight but also boosts your energy levels, making you feel more vibrant and active throughout the day. When you’re dieting, a common problem is that you often feel fatigued due to a reduced calorie intake. PhenQ addresses this issue by providing your body with the energy it needs to keep going. It helps convert the food you eat into usable energy more efficiently, ensuring that you don’t feel sluggish or tired. Additionally, PhenQ helps improve your endurance during physical activities. Whether you’re doing a high-intensity workout or just going about your daily routine, having higher energy levels can make a significant difference. You’ll be able to exercise more effectively and for longer periods, which can enhance your weight loss results. Improved energy levels also mean better mental clarity and focus. When you have more energy, you’re likely to be more productive and less prone to mental fatigue. This can positively impact various aspects of your life, from work to personal relationships, by helping you stay alert and engaged. Furthermore, higher energy levels can improve your motivation to stick to your weight loss plan. When you feel energetic, you’re more likely to stay committed to your exercise routine and make healthier food choices. This can create a positive feedback loop where increased energy leads to better weight loss results, which in turn boosts your motivation even more. Thermogenesis Thermogenesis is the process by which your body generates heat. It’s a natural process that occurs when your body burns calories. PhenQ enhances this process, turning your body into a fat-burning machine. When you take PhenQ, it increases your body’s core temperature slightly. This rise in temperature means your body needs to work harder to maintain its normal state. As a result, your body burns more calories, even when you’re at rest. This process, known as thermogenesis, can significantly boost your weight loss efforts. Thermogenesis also plays a crucial role during physical activity. When you exercise, your body’s temperature naturally rises, and PhenQ can amplify this effect. This means you’ll burn even more calories during your workouts, helping you achieve your weight loss goals faster. Whether you’re doing cardio, strength training, or any other form of exercise, the thermogenic effect of PhenQ can enhance your performance and results. Moreover, thermogenesis can help target stubborn fat areas. Some parts of the body, such as the abdomen and thighs, can be particularly resistant to fat loss. By boosting thermogenesis, PhenQ helps increase the fat-burning process in these areas, leading to a more toned and sculpted physique. Another benefit of thermogenesis is that it can boost your metabolism even after you’ve finished exercising. This is known as the afterburn effect, where your body continues to burn calories at an elevated rate for several hours post-workout. PhenQ’s thermogenic properties help maximize this effect, ensuring that you get the most out of your exercise sessions. As portrayed in this PhenQ review, PhenQ works by addressing multiple aspects of weight loss, making it a comprehensive and effective supplement for those looking to shed pounds and maintain a healthy weight. By suppressing appetite, enhancing metabolism, reducing cravings, improving energy levels, and promoting thermogenesis, PhenQ tackles weight loss from every angle. To enjoy the benefits of PhenQ, click here to order your supply now! The Ingredients of PhenQ: A Detailed Examination PhenQ is a potent weight loss supplement, thanks to its unique blend of scientifically-backed ingredients. In this section, we will delve into each of the primary components that make PhenQ effective: α-Lacy’s Reset, Capsimax powder, L-Carnitine Fumarate, Nopal Cactus, and Caffeine. Each ingredient plays a specific role in supporting weight loss, and understanding these roles can help you see why PhenQ is a comprehensive solution for shedding pounds. α-Lacy’s Reset α-Lacy’s Reset is a patented formula that combines alpha-lipoic acid and cysteine, two powerful compounds known for their antioxidant and metabolic-boosting properties. This ingredient is a cornerstone of PhenQ and is responsible for several key benefits. Alpha-lipoic acid is an antioxidant that helps reduce oxidative stress in the body. Oxidative stress can lead to inflammation and damage cells, which can hinder weight loss. By combating oxidative stress, alpha-lipoic acid helps promote a healthier metabolism. Additionally, it plays a role in converting glucose into energy, which can help improve your overall energy levels and reduce fatigue. Cysteine is an amino acid that helps in the synthesis of glutathione, another powerful antioxidant. Glutathione supports detoxification and enhances immune function, both of which are crucial for maintaining overall health and well-being during weight loss. Cysteine also supports the body’s ability to break down and utilize fats, aiding in more efficient fat metabolism. Together, alpha-lipoic acid and cysteine form α-Lacy’s Reset, which has been shown to accelerate metabolism and increase thermogenesis. Thermogenesis is the process of heat production in the body, which in turn helps burn more calories and fat. Clinical studies have demonstrated that α-Lacy’s Reset can significantly decrease body weight, body fat, and waist circumference, making it an essential component of PhenQ. In addition to its metabolic benefits explained in this PhenQ review, α-Lacy’s Reset also supports muscle recovery and preservation. When losing weight, it’s important to maintain lean muscle mass, as muscle helps burn more calories at rest. By promoting muscle recovery, α-Lacy’s Reset ensures that you not only lose fat but also retain and build muscle, leading to a more toned and sculpted physique. Capsimax Powder Capsimax powder is a blend of capsicum extract, piperine, caffeine, and niacin (vitamin B3). This ingredient is known for its powerful thermogenic properties, which help boost the body’s metabolic rate and enhance fat burning. Capsicum extract, derived from chili peppers, contains capsaicin, a compound known for its ability to increase thermogenesis. Capsaicin works by raising the body’s temperature, which in turn accelerates the metabolic rate and promotes the burning of calories and fat. Studies have shown that capsaicin can increase energy expenditure and fat oxidation, making it a valuable ingredient for weight loss. Piperine, found in black pepper, enhances the bioavailability of other nutrients in the body. This means it helps your body absorb and utilize the other ingredients in PhenQ more effectively. Piperine also has thermogenic properties, similar to capsaicin, and can contribute to increased fat burning. Caffeine is a well-known stimulant that boosts energy levels, improves focus, and enhances physical performance. In the context of weight loss, caffeine helps increase thermogenesis and fat oxidation, making it easier for your body to burn stored fat. It also acts as an appetite suppressant, helping you control your cravings and reduce overall calorie intake. Niacin, or vitamin B3, plays a crucial role in energy metabolism. It helps convert food into energy and supports the proper function of the digestive system, skin, and nerves. Niacin also aids in reducing fatigue and tiredness, which is important when you’re following a calorie-restricted diet. Capsimax powder’s combination of capsicum extract, piperine, caffeine, and niacin makes it a potent thermogenic agent that enhances PhenQ’s overall effectiveness in promoting weight loss. By increasing metabolic rate, boosting energy levels, and supporting fat oxidation, Capsimax powder helps you burn more calories and achieve your weight loss goals faster. PhenQ Is On Sale Now For A Limited Time! L-Carnitine Fumarate L-Carnitine Fumarate is an amino acid derivative that plays a vital role in the body’s energy production. It is naturally found in meat, fish, and dairy products, but supplementation can provide additional benefits, especially for those on a weight loss journey. L-Carnitine is responsible for transporting fatty acids into the mitochondria, the powerhouses of cells, where they are burned for energy. This process not only helps reduce fat stores but also increases energy levels, making it easier to stay active and maintain a regular exercise routine. By enhancing the body’s ability to use fat as a fuel source, L-Carnitine Fumarate supports fat metabolism and promotes weight loss. It helps your body convert stored fat into energy, which can be especially beneficial during physical activity. This means you can work out more effectively, burn more calories, and achieve better results from your exercise efforts. In addition to its fat-burning properties, L-Carnitine Fumarate also helps reduce fatigue and improve endurance. When you’re trying to lose weight, it’s common to feel tired due to a lower calorie intake. L-Carnitine helps mitigate this by providing a steady supply of energy from fat stores, keeping you energized throughout the day. Furthermore, L-Carnitine Fumarate supports muscle recovery and growth. Maintaining lean muscle mass is important for a healthy metabolism and for achieving a toned physique. By aiding in muscle recovery, L-Carnitine ensures that you can continue to exercise regularly without excessive soreness or fatigue. Overall, L-Carnitine Fumarate is a valuable ingredient in PhenQ that supports fat metabolism, boosts energy levels, and enhances physical performance. Its role in transporting fatty acids into the mitochondria for energy production makes it a key player in the weight loss process, helping you burn fat more efficiently and stay active throughout your journey. Nopal Cactus Nopal Cactus, also known as prickly pear cactus, is a plant native to Mexico that has been used for centuries for its health benefits. In the context of weight loss, Nopal Cactus offers several advantages that make it a valuable ingredient in PhenQ. One of the primary benefits of Nopal Cactus is its high fiber content. Fiber is essential for maintaining a healthy digestive system and promoting feelings of fullness. When you consume fiber-rich foods, they take longer to digest, which helps you feel fuller for longer periods. This can help reduce overall calorie intake by curbing hunger and preventing overeating. Nopal Cactus contains both soluble and insoluble fiber. Soluble fiber absorbs water and forms a gel-like substance in the stomach, which slows down digestion and helps regulate blood sugar levels. This can prevent spikes in blood sugar that often lead to cravings for sugary or high-carb foods. Insoluble fiber, on the other hand, adds bulk to the stool and promotes regular bowel movements, aiding in detoxification and overall digestive health. In addition to its fiber content, Nopal Cactus is rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals. These nutrients support overall health and well-being, ensuring that your body gets the essential elements it needs during weight loss. Antioxidants help combat oxidative stress and inflammation, which can improve metabolic function and support a healthy weight loss process. Nopal Cactus also has diuretic properties, which can help reduce water retention and bloating. This can lead to a slimmer appearance and make you feel lighter and more comfortable. By promoting the elimination of excess fluids from the body, Nopal Cactus helps you achieve a leaner look without the discomfort of bloating. Moreover, Nopal Cactus can help regulate blood lipid levels. Studies have shown that it can help reduce LDL (bad) cholesterol and triglycerides while increasing HDL (good) cholesterol. This can have a positive impact on cardiovascular health, which is important when you’re trying to lose weight and improve your overall health. In summary, Nopal Cactus is a versatile ingredient that offers multiple benefits for weight loss and overall health. Its high fiber content helps control appetite and promote fullness, while its antioxidants and nutrients support metabolic function and well-being. Additionally, its diuretic properties help reduce water retention and bloating, making it a valuable addition to PhenQ. Place your order today by clicking here before stock runs out! >>> Caffeine Caffeine is a well-known stimulant that is commonly found in coffee, tea, and many weight loss supplements. It is included in PhenQ for its ability to boost energy levels, enhance mental alertness, and support fat burning. One of the primary benefits of caffeine is its ability to increase energy levels. When you consume caffeine, it stimulates the central nervous system, which can help you feel more awake and alert. This can be particularly beneficial when you’re following a calorie-restricted diet, as it can help combat the fatigue and sluggishness that often accompany lower calorie intake. Caffeine also enhances physical performance by increasing adrenaline levels in the blood. Adrenaline, also known as the fight-or-flight hormone, prepares your body for intense physical activity. This can lead to improved endurance, strength, and overall exercise performance, allowing you to work out more effectively and burn more calories. In addition to boosting energy and performance, caffeine helps increase thermogenesis and fat oxidation. Thermogenesis is the process by which your body generates heat, and it plays a crucial role in burning calories. Caffeine stimulates thermogenesis, leading to an increase in metabolic rate and calorie expenditure. This means your body burns more calories, even at rest, which can contribute to weight loss. Fat oxidation is the process of breaking down fat molecules for energy. Caffeine enhances fat oxidation by stimulating the release of fatty acids from fat tissues. These fatty acids are then available for use as energy, which helps reduce fat stores and promote weight loss. Studies have shown that caffeine can significantly increase the rate of fat oxidation during exercise, making it an effective ingredient for enhancing fat burning. Caffeine also acts as an appetite suppressant, helping you control cravings and reduce overall calorie intake. By making you feel less hungry, caffeine can help you stick to a calorie-controlled diet more easily. This is particularly useful for preventing overeating and managing portion sizes.
