In Snow's system the safety roles are swappable. There really isnt a SS or FS. He uses the Joker/Monster to replace the SS. That's what Chinn did last year.

Boston was a safety blanket, always deep.  That’s 100% pure free safety.  Boston got burnt constantly.

Why we let Boston go, kept Burris and acquired two new LBs in FA.  Trust me, Chinn will be playing more coverage roles this year.

weird.. it deleted my response here.. Snow's defense is position agnnostic, and a hybrid cover 3. There isnt just one person who covers deep. Boston was in that role bc he was really bad in the box. You could probbaly think of  a few long runs where Tre blew it.

Snow likes to play mirror on the strongside and weakside of the field. This allows him to mix things up and cause confusion for opposing offenses. Unfortunately last year no one could cover a WR to execuite this.  Now things are looking quite different.

    • I had everything saved on an old email address and my computer crashed and could not be revived.  I tried reviving it, then stumbled on one I was going to create several years ago...So I am using it instead.  My fault--did not keep the email and forgot password--
    • Rasheed Walker for Kris Jenkins Jr.is what i am actually referring to in that particular post  all those #'s you are referring to are athletic #'s & Monroe Freeling had or has an impressive combination of size & raw athletiscm & it has nothing do with his size or athelticsm that is preventing him from being a day 1 starter in the NFL technique is where he struggled at the NFL combine & not only scouts but analysts alike also viewed him as more of a developmental type of player rather than a day 1 starter  go take a look at Will Campbell transition from the SEC to the NFL another first round LT that was drafted #4 overall by the New England Patriot,s.Will Campbell was a three year starter at  LSU & was thought to be one of if not the very best LT's in the SEC  & compare his SEC carrer to his rookie season in the NFL? just because you played good in the SEC at LT does nescarrily mean you are ready to start at LT in the NFL day 1 & or your rookie season  & one last thing i think you are jumping to conclusion & somehow assuming that i do not like Monroe Freeling ?which could not be further from the truth .what i do not like is the idea starting a player who is not ready ...just saying
    • I'd 10x rather play the NFC North than NFC West.
