Smitty on our rookie WRs

He really glowed about the 2 kids we drafted last night

he really really talked up Shi Smith as well.

“He was a 6th rd pick but going make at least a 3rd rd impact.”  He seemed to be drooling on Shi most of the broadcast.

When he says he is going to surprise guys in front of him, he is talking about Robby.

Think Robby knows this as well.  He had a good night last yesterday.

overall, it’s refreshing to see 3 SOLID WRs in a offense where we be running a lot of 3 WR sets

I saw where Marshall was compared with DK Metcalf.  If we have Robby, DJ Moore and a Metcalf clone.  We are going to be a high scoring offense.  Pick your poison CMC or any one of these three receivers.

I also saw on YouTube in an interview they said he was 6'2" 200 lbs and Marshall said he was 6'4" 210lbs.  So the dude is still growing.  DAMN

The DK Metcalf comp I don’t get.

the comp I’m leaning more and more towards the more I watch him at camp.

Marques Colston.  The former Saint, Big Body slot WR.  Remember our offense under Brady will look a lot like The Saints.

DJ, Marshall out wide with Robby in the slot sounds like a 3wide set that will put up points. When have your ever hear 89 talk up 3 young WR for the Panthers? I will take his eye test and say we mite have something special for awhile

I didn't make the comparison I just mentioning what I read.

Same height 25 more lbs.

I could see Marshall adding more muscle to get to 235 and be similiar.

He doesn't need it.  Moose played at 6'2", 215 and was great.

If we end up with a combo that even approaches the Smitty / Moose levels of production people will not want to see us on their schedule.

I think it was Robby in last night's interview that comped him with Demaryius Thomas.

    • I did not want to start or even think about *if* BY reverts back to pre-non last 9 games.   There is a lane in which Panthers are looking QB after this season, I feel its higher than most will realize. I mean....not kidding... has any team ever traded up to 1st overall twice in the teams history? I don't even want to think within 3 years, just foresee Tepper squeezing Dans and Brandts sacs to the point were they are forced to trade up for a another savior.....   The kicker is I feel this way with BY playing good-great..... I think there with be non-fixable problems for contract negotiations between BY&reps vs Panthers org on the whole. You can not pay 50+ million per over few years with 70% guarantees for 3,303 yards 15 TDs and 9 INTs......Cursed I tell you....
    • It's not surprising, but it's still surprising that many of these guys don't manage their money in such a way that provides them and their families a better lifestyle than most for the rest of their lives without even working a nine-to-five. I can't imagine making over a 100 mil for a decade and ultimately ruminating about supporting my family due to financial issues.
    • That why i mentioned the KC dynasty. Those three different playoff loses were not Allens fault, in fact 1-2 plays and Bills win. KC just have better players and better coaches and more luck.  Defense-wise, Bills have been trying to crack the Reid-Halhomes magic. Its near impossible with rules and KC home field advantage. Spags has started to force the league in naming him the best DC in NFL history. I agree if you take away Bill bielacheat.... Add in Andy Reid the best QB coach and brilliant play designer/play-caller, I mean that's too much for one QB to over-come on his own.  Just trolling or not, bad is bad scot. Allen is legit as any one QB has ever been.
