I went crazy watching that. For the record, that was NBA vet Michael Beasley he went around and NBA vet Kenneth Faried that he absolutely annihilated. 

Also, I have a strong feeling that Kai will spend most of the season in Greensboro. I think he could definitely help the Hornets now off the bench but getting a ton of minutes in the G-League may be better for his development. Keep in mind he has not played basketball for very long and was not a starter in college. With consistent playing time I think he will develop into a monster.

Specifically, I think his defensive game could use some work. He's got all the tools but you could tell he was a little slow reading plays and that comes with reps.

Very similar to Robert Williams in Boston.

I would rather him play 15-20 minutes off the bench this year. Playing real competition and getting solid minutes on a playoff team (which I think we will be) should be better for his development. He also will give us a better chance to win as a backup 5 than Carey and Richards.

agree another C and/or PG would help a lot but with the roster the way it is - I think Plumlee are PJ are going to be our Centers, mainly..

Kai has been at the PF position every game in summer league with Vern and Richards both getting the starting center spot..

PG: Ball - Ish
SG: Roz - Bouk - Martin
SF: Hay - Oubre
PF: Miles - Kai - McD
C- Plumlee - PJ

G-League: Vernon, Thor

      Forget trying to draft a QB in the early first round--it's stupid

      OK, fair enough--however, since my point was that drafting a QB in the top 10 is stupid, if you consider the players who were not drafted in the top 10 or those who WERE drafted in the top 10 and did not secure starting positions with the team that drafted them, you should see the point.  Is it smart to draft a QB in the top 10 when only 4 are still starting for the team that drafted them.  Next, consider that half of that number, 2, were drafted outside the first round.  Next, there are 4 (Goff, Mayfield, Jones, and Darnold) who are starting on other teams after busting.   That number could increase as Arizona seems ready to move on from Murray, Miami is not sold on Tua, and jacksonville is still waiting for Trevor to start looking elite.  Bryce?   So to answer your question, there are MANY more QBs in the NFL who have busted and become starters on other rosters, were drafted after day 1, or are still on the cusp than the four who have become elite.  I thought that point was made.

      I’m more upset that we are changing uniforms in the middle of this road win streak. We have won our last 3 road games in Silver Helmets, White Jerseys, and Blue Pants. We are supposedly wearing Black Helmets, White Jerseys, Black Pants this week… I am a superstitious person
