I used to scoff at such remarks, but when Rhule says that a man is the best gunner in the league and then cuts him, it makes it hard to believe that praise means a whole lot for bubble and marginal players. I'm not saying that he's wrong to cut them, that's his prerogative, but there's no need to sell fans a bunch of bullsh¡t.

His "praise" could be more for trying to hype for a trade then to deceive the fans.

Believe me; no GM in his right mind would trade for Trenton Cannon. Rhule is just full o' sh¡t sometimes...for his own purposes of course. He has his reasoning. He says a lot--maybe even a "lie" here or there--but he likes to hold things close to the vest. You definitely have to take what he says with a grain of salt.

      Could do better could do worse. I've seen some people very indignant over bringing him back and I can absolutely relate to the sentiment. But it's just in a backup role. He's also a good locker room presence and an effort player so for a 1 year rental in a year where we aren't going to do much it's fine. This is a development year. And there will be options if need be at the trade deadline. Besides at the end of the day we all knew a signing like this was around the corner after how drafting Mark Williams ended. He should have been our franchise center for the next several years. I don’t put that failure on the Hornets.

      No one is upset.  And what I referred has been happening.   Patrick Mahomes has an offseason basketball clause in his contract.  A ton of other physical activites like jet skiing, baseball and all sorts of physical activities are written into his contract.  XL likely already has ATVs and stuff written into his contact.  League already has been inserting a lot of that stuff into basic contracts for non-top tier players and we have seen it pan out.
