Rhule just confirmed he is unvaccinated

Next up is Dailey, then Brown

and they still don’t know he will return punts.   So it sounds like there are high odds that someone will be making there first PR of their career Sunday (college or pros)…..which makes the odds of muffed punts super high.

Covid protocols/rules are in place for all players -- vaxx status just determines which set of rules one is subject to.

I fully expect the NFL to modify the rules to become more strict on the vaxx'd players...

...for example, un-vaxx'd have to isolate for 5-days and continuously test negative if they are deemed to have been in "close contact" -- vaxx'd players are under no restrictions even if tracing determines they were in "close contact"...

...I expect that loophole will be closed as it becomes clear "close contact" is a big risk regardless of vaxx status.

Falcons & Bucs have both announced a 100% vaxx rate, will be interesting to see how they fare vs. others.

Bucs just got Ndamukong Suh back off the list which he's been on since August 28th (10-days)....3 other Bucs players went on the list the same week as Suh.

Way back on August 8th Lane Kiffin announced that the Ole Miss football program was 100% vaxx'd but he's going to miss their season opener against Louisville tonight because he tested positive...will be interesting to see if it spreads within that program.

So this whole thing kind of begs the question, are we eventually just going to get to a point where vaccination just doesn't matter one bit?!

Don't get me wrong, I'm not anti Vax, Im vaccinated but What I don't understand is let's pretend for one minute in a alternate universe where literally ALL 32 teams and every last person in the NFL from the hot dog guy, to Roger Goodell and everyone in between are 100% fully vaxxed..

Would all these protocols need to be put in place at that point? I mean it seems a little pointless to keep testing rigoursly because who cares if anyone tests positive at that point because everyone is 100% vaccinated.

Essentially it seems that the worst case scenario is you would just have a ton of mildly or asptomatic people walking around, playing games, coaching etc that otherwise feel completely fine and healthy because they are all vaxxed. Why would that be so bad?!

To what? Fully vaccinated people have an extremely low risk of falling severely ill or being hospitalized or dying. Again, if fully vaccinated, what's the issue with going out and living life?

Assuming Ole Miss fills up the stadium in Atlanta tonight 857,443 fans will have attended SEC football games during opening week...

Reports are coaches are really worried about testing this week.  Tons of guys went off to college games, parties and events this weekend.

not sure what days the testing is for vaccinated guys.  Think unvaccinated is everyday.  Something to watch late this week.

Ya. They should have taken a hockey approach to this. Basically no outside socialization. You are getting paid a fugging poo ton of money. Stay home or go to places where you can amply socially distance. Even if these guys are vaccinated if enough test positive, we will forfeit. Imagine that week one.

It would be ridiculously stupid to rely on a player who has put himself in position to be in and out of COVID protocols all season long.

That's kinda what new England thought too 😕

But here's the thing: People will want to make this a vax / no vax argument, but at heart it really isn't.

Whether it's weed, vaccines, assault charges or whatever else, the rules are the rules and you play within them. Anyone who doesn't puts themself at risk of not being able to play.

And the bottom line, it's unwise to put yourself in the position of having to rely on people who are unreliable.

OK, but again, seeing as how a majority of the country is fully vaxxed. How do we know if most, if not all who attended arent fully vaxxed? And if someone isn't fully vaxxed, and went to the game anyway, well that's kind of on them and they would have to face the consequences

If he was vaxxed he’d have time to get back before Sunday.

If he is only on the list because of a "close-contact/tracing" issue and doesn't test positive he will still get back.

If he tested positive his chances of getting back are pretty close to 0% regardless of his vaxx status.

Zack Martin for the Cowboys is one to watch -- fully vaxx'd and tested positive...let's see how long he's out.

Any insiders know if he he tested positive or is it a contact tracing issue?

If a person does catch the covid bug how long does it take until the are through it and produce a clean test?

You have a 10 day quarantine from the time you test positive.

I'm simply pointing out most people are "going out and living life" as you mentioned in another post.

FYI folks...there was zero in the way of security checks at Panthers Stadium on Saturday night.  No wanding, no metal detectors, no take your hats off...nothing.  BYOB!

It was awesome to see.

College football fans are not coronabros.

Nothing better than a bunch of dumb kids risking permanent damage to their lungs or death just so they could get wasted watching a game. Give me muh liberties AND death, bro.
