You have to factor in the gap in talent between Wilson and Mills. That’s like comparing Will Grier to Kyler Murray in the 2019 draft.

Or PJ Walker to Kyler Murray in general.  😏

Oh and speaking of PJ...

...conspicuous by his absence is CPsinceDay1

I looked him up and his account shows he's still not banned like he was supposed to be after the Jets game (unless he actually is and it just doesn't say so).

@rayzor, your thoughts, sir?

You mean like Giovanni Carmazzi, Chris Redman, Tee Martin, and Spergon Wynn being 4 of the 6 QBs taken before Tom Brady? Draft position isn't absolute.

QB Dave Mills                       DE Charles Omenihu (52.1)
RB Phillip Lindsay(69.8)       DT Ross Blacklock (30.2)
RB Mark Ingram II (78.7*)    DT Maliek Collins (64.7*)
WR Brandin Cooks (81.1)     DE Whitney Mercilus (39.5)
WR Chris Conley (70.1)        LB Zach Cunningham (60.9)
WR Danny Amendola (74.9) LB Kamu Grugier-Hill (50.4)
TE Pharaoh Brown(81.3)      LB Christian Kirksey (48.2)
LT Laremy Tunsil (75.4)       CB Vernon Hargreaves III (41.2)
LG  Tytus Howard (62.1)      CB Terrance Mitchell (68.2)
C Justin Britt (62.0*)            CB Desmond King II (67.0)
RG  Max Scharping (52.1)    S Justin Reid (60.7)
RT Marcus Cannon (70.1*)    S Eric Murray (53.9)

On paper, they have rookie QB,  with an OL similar to ours, OK RB's,  good receivers and good TE.   The Dline has a couple weak links, as does the LB core and the secondary.

Davis Mills shouldn't be able to do much of anything against our defense. That means the Texans defense will wear down from being on the field for too long trying to chase CMC and the rest. With Mills at QB and an exhausted defense the Texans should unravel and we should win comfortably.

There is no reason why Phil Snow shouldn't be able to destroy Mills with our loaded defense. When your QB is rattled, untalented, and has no experience it's a wrap.

On the other hand it's any given Sunday. The Texans have talent spread around on both sides of the ball, and if we don't play well then they can make a game of it even with Mills.

Uhhhh….for unestablished rookies, draft position is pretty meaningful (or more specifically, how good of a prospect they are which is reflected in their draft position).

So you are of the opinion that every QB taken in every round of this draft is equally talented and capable until proven otherwise? Trevor Lawrence and Sam Ehlinger are on equal footing in terms of skill?

It will come down to stopping the run and managing screen plays which Houston will use to slow down the rush. A great run game is a rookies best friend. Coupled with a short passing game to get the ball out quick and it will come down to tackling and solid technique. Teams will figure out that you have to beat us by nickel and diming us down the field trying to negate our pass rush.

No, my point is that they are unestablished. Look at Lawrence, be has been garbage. You can not rely soely on draft position to accurately predict success.

    • If you blink often, you might or might not have eye issues. If your eyes aren't dry, your blinking may be caused by stress. If your excessive blinking is caused by stress, find ways to relax. If a tic is unlikely, talk with your ophthalmologist. If you want to ensure that your eyes aren't puffy, put your eye gels and creams in the fridge. This coolness will help to reduce inflammation, plus it will feel great when you put it on. Be sure to use your gel or cream every day for optimal results. Keep saline solution within reach. You can easily protect your eyes at work by wearing goggles. However, most people don't wear goggles for cleaning up in the home. If cleaning chemicals or soaps get into your eye, your first step should be to rinse the eye thoroughly using saline solution. Use a cotton wool pad soaked in a solution of rose water and a couple of drops of castor oil. When you place these pads on the eyelids, you can reduce the effects of eye burn. Other irritating issues with your eyes can be diminished or avoided using this method as well.   Read This Also:   https://manifold.ecds.emory.edu/groups/a484a905-2985-4ca2-a25d-47c97ef83b12   https://manifold.ecds.emory.edu/groups/f60130c8-5c59-4a60-94e8-61f3abcbdf41   https://manifold.ecds.emory.edu/groups/f1ca107a-2c32-4b0d-bfcf-4efc6021149c   https://manifold.ecds.emory.edu/groups/735f7e69-c489-4962-a244-aa3fa91bfddc   https://manifold.ecds.emory.edu/groups/8323f628-d520-4b42-a38c-990f289863dd   https://manifold.ecds.emory.edu/groups/6f4d5f82-d12f-492f-b5eb-0bb5d220bd99   https://manifold.ecds.emory.edu/groups/525e1033-ad79-4cb9-bed6-2866753611a0   https://manifold.ecds.emory.edu/groups/0107abb0-cf2b-41bf-aad4-cd573505fc54   https://manifold.ecds.emory.edu/groups/3f30e8c3-bbed-437d-ba23-f70b993ed2d9   https://manifold.ecds.emory.edu/groups/f562319d-a34d-44a5-89b1-8350a3b0fe98   https://manifold.ecds.emory.edu/groups/919d41bf-cb97-41f7-8249-19636b72455d   https://manifold.ecds.emory.edu/groups/0934fc64-a653-4379-ace8-a568b0dea68b   https://manifold.ecds.emory.edu/groups/78269853-0517-4f12-92c3-4be1c1aa13fb   https://manifold.ecds.emory.edu/groups/b0c67b70-be1f-4107-84de-3fa83dbb56ba   https://manifold.ecds.emory.edu/groups/06788542-58c6-4ae5-910b-ecbb78500d6c   https://manifold.ecds.emory.edu/groups/589fb52b-bddf-429b-888d-f940019741de   https://manifold.ecds.emory.edu/groups/805194cc-1664-4e4e-8bfb-5a8a9dcc1060   https://manifold.ecds.emory.edu/groups/f67e3cd7-f097-4969-b5ef-c7044bfd998f   https://manifold.ecds.emory.edu/groups/75948776-07ce-48c8-9871-1422ac7769e4   https://manifold.ecds.emory.edu/groups/dc8fc1e3-6216-441c-a44f-42447f6695dc   https://manifold.ecds.emory.edu/groups/215da7df-0d21-4031-941a-d6327ebc39d9   https://manifold.ecds.emory.edu/groups/759c4712-b49b-4ea6-9220-17e8ec3b7939   https://manifold.ecds.emory.edu/groups/97b66549-5a25-421f-a053-e63fc7f6334a   https://manifold.ecds.emory.edu/groups/87b56a8e-4c45-481d-b36a-c54e4da1366b   https://manifold.ecds.emory.edu/groups/9f1b82a9-c028-4b85-8d25-3733c7d67516
    • If there’s any year to be aggressive with it, it’s this one.
    • Rod didn’t sound so sure on TDA today. Also wtf NHL? You serious haven’t released the schedule yet, I guess they are waiting to see how things shake out tonight?
