We should have no issue resigning him look at how much CJ is owed over the next 3 years, 7.3 million!!! That’s nothing. Donte can stay outside we can move Henderson and Horn around contingent on the other teams formation and really be elite. God my pussy is we rn, it’s too early to be this goddamn horny.

Trading Darnold will give us $1,272,500 in dead cap this season and next.

The Jags will take on $2.435 million 2022 salary.

Almost 65% of Henderson's four-year rookie contract has already been paid by the Jaguars, with about 60% of the total coming via his signing bonus.

Carolina will inherit a fully guaranteed three-year, $7.17 million contract.

Those numbers make this trade even more amazing!!!!

So we've given up on Sam so quickly?  😉

And if you think about it Jackson hasn't been all that healthy in the past. We have great depth now at CB and we don't have to use Corn. This gives us the best CB duo since Gamble and Lucas once Horn returns. I'm thrilled. Although the naming duos of Corn and Horn, Arnold and Darnold, it was shaping up to be pretty funny.

Corn?  Is that what the "C" in CJ stands for?

Interesting.  Thanks.

Darnold looks exactly like that guy at usc, turns the ball over more than you'd like but is accurate and good outside of structure. Needs to be protected.

He's competent at minimum and competent players always ball out in contract year. The Bucs are gonna start to decline shortly. This is the year for the bandwagon to fill up for sure bc next year we'll have a bunch of young elite players with experience on both sides of the ball. DJ Moore and Sam being a legit stack is just getting started man.

Interestingly enough, none of those turnovers were INTs (I am *not* counting that shovel-pass/toss as an INT.  I thought that was BS that the statisticians did.)

Just watched the highlights of the Jags - Broncos game.

Henderson gave up a TD to Patrick and never returned to the game. He was listed as out with an 'illness' and a 'minor groin injury' for Week 3. He was absolutely loafing on the highlights though - clearly didn't want to be there and was quite clearly benched.

Rhule has a major rebuild on his hands here - the talent is there, but he's going to have to get inside the kid's head and flip a switch.

Rhule said in his presser that Henderson is a long term investment/project (can't remember which word he used) that he wasn't in a rush to get on the field, whatever that means.  I think he knows he has some work to do with Henderson.

I can see the conversation go like this..

We will give you D. Arnold and a 3rd round pick for Henderson

Great! Darnold will fit good on our team.

No, Not Darnold, D. Arnold.

Awesome! Darnold is a great QB.. done!

Agrees, signs the trade away....

Wait, who is D. Arnold?

The guy you traded for?

I though we were getting Darnold.

Do you reckon we're going to get the whole song and dance we got with Darnold for Henderson?

Y'know where he drew that picture of the logo, ate southern food with Kristen etc etc.

Or is that kind of stuff reserved for the 'face of the franchise'? I'd be very curious to know how bought in Henderson is!

1. No because that is offseason type nonsense. We are in the middle of the season and he needs to play catch up.

2. No because that is definitely not the type of thing Henderson would be interested in doing.

I'm sure we will find out soon enough.  The obvious clue is that he isn't traded before the next 3 games. If he gets to start in a couple of weeks I would say that is another clue he might be interested.

But I'm holding out until he gets 20 interceptions before the season is out. He does that then I will know he has bought in.

Am I doing it right?

No, you're not doing it right. Until he gets 20 INTs he won't have been worth the capital we gave up for him.

    • You are right--it was DC.  I remember talking to him at Belk in Albemarle one day--the Panthers were on a bye and they were (at the time) a disapointing 4-4.  I mentioned that the record was disappointing and he seemed to get a bit annoyed.  He dId not say anything.  I trying to suggest that we will get better, but I think he was pretty upset about it.  No hard feelings, but the man was simply trying to shop with his wife and this annoying jerk starts making comments about his job---I get it.  I apologized, telling him that I was trying to be supportive and not critical--he did not think it was a big deal.  I'd see him at events from time to time-he'd wave or say hi, but it was awkward for me.  Figured I would say something stupid.  Jordan was pretty popular--nothing like she seems to be now--she is holding her own in a man's world...proud of her.
    • Like we have had the last 3 years.
    • In May of 2026, it looks like a challenging schedule...and it probably is.  I rarely listen to the "strength of schedule" conversations that light up social media this time of year. Each year teams improve and decline. I think there's chunks of the year we need to take care of business and the week 5 bye is not desired.  I do think if we don't hit the bye week at 3-1, it's going to be a major uphill battle given the schedule in front of us. This season falls on three people, regardless of schedule strength: Canales, Bryce, Evero.  Canales: Finally can truly coach all aspects of the team and not focus with gameday prep for OC duties anymore. He drives the bus and needs to get these guys in position to win each week. There's no way vets come in and put it on the line every week to watch our QB sh!t the bed (See: SF game last year). Bryce: Despite everyone's obsession with thinking Bryce is a guaranteed extension, I think this year will truly be his "prove it" year. If he comes out the way he has the past three years, I really don't see how vets and coaches can continue to put him under center long-term. He might play out that fifth year as the starter, but I think next offseason his long-term replacement is found. I also think there's no excuses with the weapons and commitment we've made on offense to insulate him with every possible weapon.  Evero: Best personnel he's had since he's been here...no excuses. Figure out how to blitz effectively. Figure out how to use CBs whose strengths are press/man. Figure out how to utilize a talented front-7 to get the hell of the field. Outside of FS and maybe....maybe ILB, there are few weaknesses on this unit.
