I was expecting just a sleepy morning of talk about the upcoming Cowboys game. Instead I get news about a major transaction that's generated like four threads already.

Telling ya, when Scott Fitterer says he's in on every deal, he friggin' means it. They're going to exhaust every avenue they can to improve the team. And this after what appears to have been a strong draft.

What a change in just one years time...

I posted this in the other thread but it is worth repeating:


“There was word this summer about the Saints showing interest in a deal for Henderson, but nothing came of those discussions. Things went further with the Panthers and Henderson is now set to move to the NFC South for the rest of his second NFL season.“

We got Horn when the Saints were trying to trade up for him, and got CJ who they were attempting to trade for this offseason as well. Word was that the Jags wouldn’t take less than a 2nd round pick at the time. We got him for a third rounder and received at 5th round pick in return……simply amazing 😁

If Tremble becomes legit quickly and we basically got the 2020 9th overall pick, top CB, to pair with the 2021 8th overall, top defensive draft pick, for basically a mid round pick swap, then just slap me with a pancake sally.

We could be looking at Horn-Henderson-Bouye with Chinn for the playoffs.

Holy mother of god.

Damn son.  I love me some Fitt.  This dude is a fuging maniac and the traumatized Panther fan in me just wants to give that big old bear a hug for fixing all of the poo the previous two GMs left behind in less than a year.  I just want to cry tears of joy in his arms between the moments where he isn't using them to wheel and deal and pillage other teams of their talent.

Let's see how it all plays out here before we signal this as a genius move.

We all thought the Arnold pick up was a great deal back before the season started. And someone thought Henderson was worth a first round pick last year for Jacksonville. Was it a bad pick to begin with, or is the coaching/chemistry just that bad?

Still, I like that we're willing to trade away an underperforming asset to get someone that we need.

      I feel like this was the case with River and McDermott defenses as well, we just had the jimmies and the joes to overcome these deficiencies with all pro players at edge and linebacker positions.  Even then, was extremely frustrated in 2015 when we'd let team come back from 20+ pt deficits playing prevent only to barely win at the end.

      We need to move on soon and just use Bryce as a bridge to find our next guy. I'd like to see how this offense works with Canales hand picking his own guy. Bryce holds this offense back a lot considering you draft the first pick to carry your team and be your best player. We invested heavily for Bryce and need everything to go right just to have him look like a solid game manager sometimes. When he plays well he can look decent or mid, but when he plays bad he looks like a bottom 5 qb in league (backups included). It's not worth it, especially if we need to pay him soon, which means we have to skimp all over the roster. If the defenses don't hand it to us on a silver platter Atlanta style then we struggle big time. Defenses don't respect the offense at all. With Cam we could have the worst offensive talent and I'd still think we had a shot in any game we played. If Bryce is facing a 3rd and 10 I pretty much wave the white flag and don't think we can make that first down.
