If you think Hurney 2.0 was worth anything whatsoever, you don't know what you're talking about.

Marty 2.0 was absolute dog sh-t.

Hurney 2.0

CMC, Curtis Samuel,  Taylor Moton ,Dj Moore, Donte Jackson, Brian Burns, Dennis Daley, Derrick Brown,   Yetur Gross-Matos ,Jeremy Chinn,Bravvion Roy,  Stantley Thomas-Oliver

Teddy wasn't that bad either BTW and apparently would have played better this year.

And most importantly, Hurney 2.0 brought in RHULE.

You can't blame just the bad picks on Hurney and then give credits for the good picks to somebody else.

I'm no Hurney fan, but a lot of this team is Hurney 2.0.

After nearly two decades of incompetence, I still am skeptical that Hurney was calling the shots in the 2020 draft.  Also, some of the first guys listed were Gettleman selections.

McCaffrey, Samuel and Moton were all drafted by Gettleman. And the 2020 draft was heavily influenced by Rhule.

Marty's drafts were the 18 and 19 ones, which were pretty typical Hurney (good in the first, garbage later).

Factor in also that Marty had Greg Little rated as a first rounder (Will Grier too).

Jumped at the chance to draft Fields, so never drafted Horn.

Resigned Curtis Samuel. (Therefore, he would not have brought in Reddick, Fox, or Jones.)

Extended DJax before his play this year.

Traded or released Carter last year.

Sign and start Richard Sherman for the next 5 years.

Also would have let Moton walk, kept Little, and traded up for a RB in the 2nd.

Yes, and Marty 2.0 hired Rhule.

As I said, you can't blame Hurney for the fckups and then not give ANY credit for the successes.     Yes Hurney sucks.  It wasn't all misses tho.

You wanna give jimmy Clausen credit for the passes he completed too?

It was mostly misses, and three winning seasons out of fifteen is awful no matter how you spin it.

Throw in that of you wanna talk "ignoring success", how do you ignore 2015 in your assessment of DG?

As to hiring Rhule, yeah I'm pretty happy about that because it was a big factor in getting Marty fired. So there's that...

    • FLA showed everyone it’s not about superstars. they bullied the best line in the NHL into obscurity. they played hard, were in the right positions, and ran over everything that got in their way.
    • That’s really not what you said and when I even expressed doubt as to your intentions with the post you doubled down and remained unclear on whether you were trying to drag Dean Smith for whatever reason. You just got the facts wrong, which if you don’t follow the local college programs like you say then maybe you just were mistaken and thought Smith didn’t win championships or have legit superstars, and that is ok, but you just doubled down when my first post was more corrective than anything. I’m not sure what you expect posting objectively false things like “RBA has a lot of wins with nothing to show for it like Dean Smith” (paraphrasing) on a message board with plenty of UNC fans. I’m not taking it as a personal affront, we can agree to disagree, Dean Smith’s legacy fortunately will not be affected by this conversation. Screw the (Florida) Panthers?
    • Bring in the free agents and trades.  Florida is the best team and unless Tulsky makes it happen, it’s more of the same…which isn’t bad…but it’s time to win a goddamn cup.
