Hope Boger isn't the ref for those games I'll say that.

come on man. you really think the refs called that blow out? yes, I see what you're saying. But I saw penalties on the Panthers just the same. Cowboys usually get screwed by the refs at the end of the game...aka..Tom Brady

I would say Boger deff handed you momentum with the "forward progress" that's probably a 13 point swing right there. Fugger had several huge misses in SB 50 too so my complaints about him aren't cowpoke specific.

Excactly, I hope we are  at full strength as well. lets knock off the bucs and rams.

We will take the division, Brady won’t hold up for all 17 games, that 44 year old arm is going to wear out and their defense is not the same as it was last year but darnold needs to get way better when under pressure

Meant to say and hope our new cb works out, ninth overall pick last year, strange how Jacksonville gave him up for little in return for a ninth overall pick less than a year since he was picked

They weren't misses. The NFL needs the Cowboys winning to fuel their story line. Same way they weren't going to let Manning ride off into the sunset 1-3 in Super Bowls. These weren't bad calls. These were exactly the momentum shifting calls they were supposed to be.

Dude, we totally got screwed on that call today, but yeah is true cowboys did get screwed on that no call clear push off end of game against Brady which let them win it

The Bad:

  • The oline looked bad.
  • The D couldn't stop the run.
  • The secondary missed assignments (adding  Bouye and Henderson may have impacted)
  • Sam turned the ball over and overthrew some deep shots.
  • The footlocker guys ignored a fumble that gifted 6 points (almost 8 if it wasn't for NY)  to the boys and cost us whatever we might have scored at that field position.
  • We missed a long field goal.
  • Robbie dropped one and didn't look himself.
  • Rhule is rushing substitutions creating penalties.  We wasted timeouts. Some of Brady's play calling looked bad.

The Good

  • We led at the half without the opening kickoff, and with the zebras gifting Dallas 6
  • Chubba, Shi Smith, and Zylstra looked good.
  • We looked better in the RZ.
  • The team regained composure and clawed back in garbage time to within a score and just couldn't stop the run.
  •  We were on the  road against a good team without CMC and Horn and came with in a score.

The historically dominant D we had the first 3 games struggled today.  I think as Henderson learns the D and we regain that lockdown corner, that dominant D will return.

I hope so. Im so sick of Brady. Stafford is getting old too. However I'd like to see him win a Superbowl  after suffering with Detroit for soo long. And we went to the same high school.

    • overall agree on the draft grade as a whole on on each pick, but every time I read (and I have read it more than once) that we "gave up two firsts" for Bryce, I am confused. We gave up the 2024 first, but we swapped 2023 firsts, so we didn't give up anything there. We did give up our former first rounder in DJ, but I don't think thats what you mean as one of the "firsts" we gave up.
    • Didn't  see this posted (since 2023) but since folks have been posting that you can't judge a draft class for three years (a ridiculous take), I thought I'd post this to see what people thought about the 2023 draft. Unfortunately this may not be the most interesting class to do this with but I do quite like retrospective draft grades. Would appreciate other's takes on this (and other recent) draft classes.   1(1) - Bryce Young QB: I am a bigger Bryce Young apologist than most (maybe all). I like the kid. But there is no way around it: This was a terrible pick. If he had been picked in the 4th or even the 3rd round I would feel pretty good about it. But this was the first overall pick that we gave up two firsts, our best offensive player to get.  GRADE: C -    2(39) - Jonathan Mingo WR: not much to say here here. He was here for two years. His yards per catch are on par with Bryce's yards per pass. Rough stuff. To date he has still never scored a touchdown in the NFL GRADE: F   3(80) - DJ Johnson OLB: a pick I hated as soon as it happened and an example of why the premise of this thread is honestly dumb. This was a bad pick when it happened. Most people knew it.  Then came training camp and he did not look good. Then came the preseason which confirmed what we saw in TC. Then came the season which confirmed what we saw in preseason. To date, he has half a sack in his career. GRADE: F 4 (114) Chandlers Zavala G: Honestly the best pick of this draft which really speaks to how awful this draft is. Other than Bryce, the only pick still on the team. He is mostly average or below average depth which in round 4 is not terrible. But he had a pff score of 43.5 and though I think people have unrealistic expectations for draft picks, I still would want a little more from a fourth round pick GRADE: C+   5 (145) - Jammie Robinson S: I liked the pick when it happened but ended up being a disappointment. He logged 1 tackle with the falcons last year and not enough snaps to get a grade on PFF.  GRADE: F OVERALL DRAFT GRADE: F
