Yeah I can’t see that happening.  The optics would look really bad for us, considering Gilmore apparently was involved in the decision to be traded here to be closer to home.  No one is going to want to come here in the future if there’s a sense that they’ll be blindsided once they get to town.

Yeah I think we will hang on to him. I don't buy into the rumor mill often, but I figured I'd pass the info on.

Explains why they demoted Michael Jordan.

Doesn't explain why they're not trading for OLine help. Also - where does this leave all of our young CBs?

I think this just fell into their lap and at this price it doesn't preclude them from any other moves

Rumor has it that they considered trading down from 8 but couldn't get the deal they wanted.  My thought at the time is was for Slater.

We also almost certainly were going to draft Sewell until the Lions got him.

he literally must ahve just said "send me to carolina"

or bill is pissed at brady and this is his final fug you

Reports are also that he's completely healthy and running full speed and that the "quad injury" is more part of his holdout from the Pats. It certainly is pretty interesting that he was holding out for a new deal in NE but open to playing out the year with us. I'll take it though

Will definitely make next year interesting. Is Jackson even the 3rd best CB now? 🤷‍♂️

    • https://x.com/4thand1show/status/1975274357174784272?s=46   saw this this morning and came to post something similar. I didn’t just love the team or the wins, I loved those dudes man. They put everything they had out there every Sunday. You didn’t see a rep where anybody on that field was low effort in that era, and if you did they were quickly sent packing.
    • …is Brycen Tremayne with 108 yards. Not sure what that tells us but I imagine it’s some sort of gumbo consisting of the following: - Bryce can’t push the ball downfield  - contrary to what many were saying this offseason, the wr still needs a lot of work.  - we need Coker back badly.  - Brycen is pretty good! Congrats to that young man! Curious to hear other’s read on it. Was a pretty surprised to see he had more yards than anyone other than Tet and thought that was symptomatic of our issues on offense.
    • I don’t think many fans would have guessed the Chiefs and Ravens would be where they are right now. Same goes for some surprise packages like the Colts, I’m not sure many would have put money on them being top of their division after five weeks. It’ll be interesting to see if this continues!   Not necessarily. The Chargers have lost both starting OL and their 1st and 2nd choice RBs. They fell apart against Washington. The Broncos have just beat the Eagles, so they’d be my favourite in that division, but they are still only one win ahead of the Chiefs. All the Chiefs need is a couple of results to go their way and they’ll be right in the fight for the AFC East. I think that division is going to be very close and probably not a 12 or 13 win division like predicted. Unless of course the Broncos kick on.
