Sam had what dozens opportunities to throw the ball with good protection and blew it. The o-line wasn't throwing all those poop bombs.

and he has openly voiced how no one is willing to talk about offensive lineman. 
 

*Horn definitely looks awesome.   But just in terms of positional value..corner at 8 might not of been the most ideal decision for a team with so many issues upfront and without a long term answer at QB yet 

Story of this franchise. I hope we improve in this aspect with a new GM...

Hindsight of Horn being hurt makes Slater hurt more but Slater wasn’t guaranteed and Horn looked solid. LS over Smith was obvious when it happened.

The entire league passed on Trey Smith 6 times.  Why?

He couldn't even practice in college because of all the blood thinners he was on.   

Huddlers still complaining 5 months later about a 6th round pick.

He has blood clotting issues that worried some coaches about how long/if he will play. In the 5th/6th it’s a no brainer,  but not much earlier.

I’m not regretting passing on Slater for Horn. I didn’t like the pick at first but Horn has looked good. I’m more pissed on passing on other OLinemen in the draft for Terrace Marshall who has looked like a 5th round receiver or a LB like Owusu-K.

I think most of us thought Slater would be the pick.   Slater/2nd round guard would have been stellar
