Pretty sure Nelson stated that he'd seen that route a few times already and was prepared for it, or something to that effect.

Basically, they knew what was coming.

They knew what was coming. And it was covered. That's on Brady. But Sam made a bad read and a bad decision and threw the ball. That's on Sam.

Just now, Mr. Scot said:

Well, it's more of an "aware" play than a physical effort play.

It also says something about our playcalling.

i wouldnt say great is defined by just your physicality. Having the mental awareness around what route Robby was running isnt done by mediocre decision making. It's done by great decision making.

but he is under duress, he is unable to step up and make the throw. I dont know what Steve is referring to. Im just stating that its possibel he got the two mixed up.

The throw isn't the issue in that play. The ball was placed perfectly.... if there weren't any defenders there. The problem is there were defenders there. And Sam still threw it.

hit up Steve and let him know then... like i said I was only calling out that he could have been referring to Nelson and not Slay

I will continue to support our QB Sam Darnold until he proves he cannot perform behind a good offensive line, something we presently do not have.

Bashers on the Huddle need to cool the attacks on Sam until we have a good offensive line and then we will be able to evaluate his performances a lot more fairly.

The other interception I haven't posted yet for anyone who wants to see it again. Starts at 8:48. Plenty of time to throw. Steps into his throw and throws right to the defender.

So... in conclusion, he wasn't actually being hit on any of these interceptions and was in duress for maybe one of them.

Doesn't look like he is being hit to me...

With three defenders in the area. He made some bad decisions with the football that will lose teams games that's all there is to it. Now it's up to him Joe B and Matt Rhule to figure it out. The line is what it's going to be for the next 12 games and that is not good and it's on our gm Scott Fitterer.

    • Watching games this year again and Bryce missed a wide open XL many times and some of them were in the endzone. I get the kid has mental lapses and hasn't broke out yet, but this is year three on a rookie deal! Cutting bait now is too early. If he hasn't gained anymore trust from his QB, posted any highlights, little production, or outright gets beat out then we can talk movement.
    • Samesies   I truly may just cash completely out of Panther football if we give him a long term deal that isnt necessary.  I have watched NFL for 50 years now and I can without a shadow of a doubt say you cannot win consistently with BY.  Way too many limitations to deal with.   I may come back around in 3 years when the inevitable happens and all parties are either cut and/or fired.  Giving him a deal before this season so you hopefully can get him cheaper in case he "blows up" or if you truly believe that he will has to be the most moronic decision a gm can make when the evidence is laid before you with different players
    • This is the one! I was at that game and all KB had to do was lay down on the corner after the pick or make an obvious tag while he was down. He had already ran a lazy route. Then if Cam would've just walked to the sideline like most elite QBs instead of trying to make the tackle.  A lot of people bring up the TJ Watt hit, but he just reaggravated a bunch of scar tissue from that play. And every Cam hater said that the running did him in and it was a dive tackle attempt on an interception that initially began the shoulder deterioration. He still went to New England later and would've got them in the playoffs had their A team not sat out the covid year. We quit on him too early. But hey how good was Teddy? Am I right?
