But he had open throws he missed and INTs he threw last week when he wasn’t under pressure and there were plays left on the field. 

But it would still be a lot his fault.

I hope I’m wrong too but as a day trader I watch trends carefully and the Panthers are trending down and if they were a stock I own I would have my finger on the sell button right now

Then you may wish to get into a different line of work, cuz this team is trending upwards. 2 years ago we had precious little talent. Now, we have talent all over the place. It is year 2 of a rebuild, surely you know these things take time?

Team started 3-2 last year too so are they really trending up? I guess it depends on if you believe in the QB or not. Darnold surprised me early in the season but it was against poor teams. As soon as the difficultly level ramped up Darnold has looked worse. If he bounces back today I’ll be happy for him but I’d be surprised. The offensive line is terrible and Darnold has largely been a poor QB in his career.

      To me, this seems like they feel they aren't going to be competitive. I can't help but go back to Bryce. Good guy, but he doesn't inspire people to give it their all. He isn't a "leader" that people look to. There is no Smith, Delhomme, Kuechly, Cam, etc. coming in that door.  It has to be Bryce, but biologically speaking, how often is the shortest man in the room going to command the kind of respect that will drive people? It just isn't. That isn't how we are wired. That isn't how any living animal on Earth today is wired.  I just follow the science guys.

      Vick's issue with Reid was that he couldn't take a hit, and he wouldn't go down. Otherwise he was pretty good much of the time.  Mahomes has a system that works. Mahomes doesn't become Mahomes elsewhere because not everyone can extract 125% of the ability of a specific player like Reid can. Kevin O'Connell is beginning to look like he has that ability as well but I'll need to see how he does with his Redshirt Freshman.  I also wonder how much of their playoff issue last year was related to the offense as a whole and not just Darnold. Fans don't really dive into the "why" things happen, they just see the what and complain about it.
