PJ has had one of his better games tonight. He's sitting on a double double, 13-13

If this is "one of this better games" then that is the problem.  Dude is 0-4 from 3 and 5 of 14 from 2.

He is lazy on D and takes horrible shots.

We should have won 97-96. I had no idea there was a statute of limitations on 3 that should’ve been called a 2. Especially with video proof. It is the Hornets tho

There isn't a statute of limitations on that, it was just invented during this game because it would screw the Hornets..... couldn't have the #2 rank team in the East lose to the lowly Hornets right before the All Star break....c'mon bruh, you know that.....as soon as Adam Silver seen that, he had to stop gargling his boyfriend's kiwis, run and call down to the refs to make SURE they could come up with some b.s. cover story to screw over MJs Hornets.....the league has ALWAYS screwed this team out of wins, just like a week or so ago with that b.s. foul call as time was running out that for some reason became a shooting foul.....the NBA is a joke, as long as there is legal betting involved in games, refs will make screwy calls that make 0 sense.....

Terry was 2-9 going 1-5 from 3. LaMelo was 5-25 going 1-9 from 3. LaMelo takes horrible shots every game and doesn't really play D. Going to call him out? Same goes for Terry. Want to call him out too?

Honestly your lazy on D and takes horrible shots comment can be used to describe the majority of today's NBA players.

Borrego’s seat should be pretty warm right now. Guy has been great for development but damn does he suck as a coach on game days.

Without Gordon these guys have some seriously low Basketball IQ and zero situational awareness. Lamelo was trying to push the tempo and run fast breaks that led to multiple turnovers with only a few minutes left in the game and a 6-8 point lead. Calm the fug down and run a half court offense and burn the damn clock. You got guys like Kelly and Terry chucking contested 3s only a few seconds into the shot clock. Did the exact same poo against Memphis on Tuesday and the games played out exactly the same.

Borrego seems to never play the actual matchups and just sticks to his whack ass rotations that consistently get torched. He’s been getting out coached on a nightly basis and the Hornets have lost like 8 out of the last 10 and are now 2 games under .500. Borrego has literally done nothing to try and improve the situation besides letting JT Thor play a few minutes a game if you want to count that. We have an open roster spot and are dealing with injuries. Why not bring up a guard from the GLeague or sign someone to a 10 day like the rest of the league and then see what buyouts happen on the first.

The team should be fuging embarrassed right now. Just piss poor basketball at every level.

They all need to be called out, you are right. Something needs to change and I think it is PJ and Gordon that need to be that change. Gordon is made of glass and PJ is expendable.

    • I know it's only been training camp and one preseason game, but I think T-Mac has already shown his floor to be exactly what I said about him in the pre-draft process. That his floor if he never improves his game, is as one of the best #2 WRs in the NFL, if not even still a low end #1 (i.e. a 25th-ish best WR in the league). I think it's safe to say he's already established himself as our #1, and there are only a small handful of teams in the league where I don't think he'd be their starting #2 WR in Week 1. Bengals (Higgins), Dolphins (Waddle), Eagles (Smith), Bucs (Godwin if healthy), Rams (Adams) are really the only teams where I think he'd be the #3 as a rookie in Week 1.  A few others like the Lions (Williams), Bears (Odunze), Seahawks (Kupp), Commanders (Deebo), where he'd be the 2b to start the season, just because they're vets and/or already have a year or two of experience with their team/QB. And even having said that, I think by year 2, he's better than every one of those players (And no, I'm not saying he's already going to be better than a prime version of Adams, just whatever he'll be at 33 next year), and same goes for Kupp, but that's more because it seems like his body might be quitting on him in a way that hasn't happened to Adams (yet).
    • Well to be fair, Horn not practicing right now to let his stitches heal up from a car accident isn't something that should be concerning.  Sure, you don't want him missing practice leading into the season, but it's one that once healed, won't have lingering affects or fear of re-injuring it, it was just bad luck.
    • Quality backups are absolutely important. This franchise has been plagued with depth problems. That said, there is a little bit of dismay that Mays can't beat out a 1-legged man, and all the talk going into the off-season was how BC would certainly be gone since he had position versatility.  In the end, it doesn't matter too awfully much, as I would be shocked to no end if Corbett makes it through the season. We know what we have in reserve, and that should surely be better than trying to sign random fat guys mid season to try and take over.
