The protection was dogshit. Christensen and Daley couldn't block semen with a contraceptive.

That's not totally true. I immediately think about the INT Sam threw, that was fine protection and he had DJ for a score but never even looked his way and instead fired into like triple coverage. No part of that is on the OC.

Brady should be gone. Pretty sure he wanted Teddy since he had him in NO and pretty sure he was the guy who saw something in Teddy (oops, meant Sam). Dude has no business being here anymore because I don’t want him anywhere near a rookie QB.

He can want who he wants. GM is the one who makes the deal for the players. Also, Teddy is better than Sam.

Yup, I too am nearly certain he was the main voice pounding the table for Teddy.  That alone should have gotten him fired.

Just like folks need to let go of Fields, there’s some of you who needs to let go of Darnold. A good few of you were wrong about Darnold, and need to come to grips with that.

The coaching staff is terrible, but Darnold is bad. He’s really bad, and after this stop, he will be lucky to remain in the league. He’s definitely not a starting QB

I don't blame him for playcalling.  Play calling imo is less important than talent and execution.

I do blame him for helping put the offense together, and for not picking Jones or Fields with the first round pick.  Of course, Ruhle gets a far greater amount of the blame for that.

That is Ron Rivera mentality. No part of Brady's game plan schemes around our strengths and weaknesses. He calls great plays if we were in college and our guys could win 1 on 1 every play.

Daniel Jones is not much better, but his staff knows how to call plays that he can execute successfully instead of calling generic 3 or 5 step drops all game with the same route combinations.

Daniel Jones is better. He has had games where he has taken over. Daniel Jones, on most play calls, makes better reads 1:1 than Darnold. You can scream play call play call all game long but we all see people getting open and Darnold messing it up. He sucks. Stop making excuses for him. The two QBs our franchise has given reps to are Teddy B and Sam D. We need a major upgrade if we want to compete.

Joe Brady is just as incompetent as the QBs have been, IDGAF if Darnold is replaced, I have no attachment to the guy. Joe Brady needs to be replaced as well. He is not a NFL level OC.

    • Things like this happen everyday. We live in a social media driven society where loyalty is a foreign concept.
    • If you draft a guy who is healthy and has no concerns about that whatsoever and he goes out and tears his ACL in his first few games in the regular season on a physical play that's a freak accident. But when you trade up to draft an RB who is already rehabbing from a recent ACL tear and he spends the next several months continuing his rehab only to tear the same ACL again after less than a handful of regular season carries in a non contact circumstance that is no freak accident. That is a textbook example of why you do not do what we did. Particularly for what is now a plug and play position. And when you have the highest paid OL in the league over the next two years. None of that makes any logical sense. Legitimately it is and was some Scott Fitterer type foolishness. Now as for XL. The guy has not been committed to his craft. I think anyone with eyes on the situation can and would recognize that. However the warning signs were there. One season of legit production raw prospect that we knew would take time to develop etc. But Morgan and Bryce Young's own father were very high on him. I think in some capacity the reality of our limitation at QB is entering into the equation. Even TMac got a lot of flak over the course of his rookie season for not being able to haul in all of Bryce's passes. At the end of the day our fourth year QB also needs to do his part to maximize the talent we have available. As far as this year. Again. WR round 1 boils down to where are we going to get the touches for the rookie? That would require eating into not only our 8th overall picks touches but also our #2 WR whom oh yeah by the way was UNDRAFTED. I am happy to discuss WR prospects here. I was thrilled we invested what we did last year in TMac because it needed to be done and it made sense from all angles. But nowhere is it written in stone that you cannot draft a good or great WR outside of the first round. Except in the Panthers building apparently. That is not a good reflection on our scouts and front office let me tell ya. Because there's no way on this earth we are going to get back to relevancy and legitimate contender status if we can't pick some gems in the later rounds. Simple and plain.
    • This is pretty accurate our offense needs more juice. I love Cooker but he’s not enough XL ummm we’ll see this year hopefully the third year WR thing hits him and he plays better but still not enough. Honestly we need look at the Eagles they just adds Wicks and Hollywood Brown to that core. That shows the level of talent needed to compete at a championship level this coming season. And this below is the real problem KC doesn’t seem to add that much to our offense. We Makai Lemon or defense at 19
