Joe Burrow and the LSU guys all had career years in college.

Teddy had a career year.  DJ, Robbie, Curtis  all did too.

maybe Sam Darnold is just really bad.

“I will say it again.  The difference between Darnold and Rosen is Darnold isn't a prick and people like him.”

“Darnold is a terrible NFL QB which was proven before and again now in CAR. Carolina heads are going to roll over him. He is horrendous.”

“Darnold just sucks and gets people fired.  It’s what he does.  You can’t “fix” his brand of suck.”

“It's almost as if the Panthers have observed his play and realize that he's a 1 read QB that sh*ts the bed when his primary option isn't wide open.”

And the most apt one and what I’ve been stressing for weeks

“Completely lacks the presence to raise the play of others around him.  His teams absorb his limp d*ck softness.”

sam is a terrible quarterback and sucks all the energy off the field. If we fire Brady over this it will be a mistake.

If we’re talking about firing people we need to fire the people who were in charge of giving up 3 picks for a guy who shouldn’t be in the nfl. The worst starting qb in the league. We gave up a second rounder a 4th and a 6th for a qb the year before who threw 9 tds and 11 picks. THAT is a fireable offense imo. Don’t scapegoat the OC who has to deal with a qb like Darnold who had nothing to do with bringing Sam here. Same OC who has shown to scheme his ass off and get people wide open but Darnold decides to throw it into quadruple coverage. There is no OC in the league that can win with this dude.

Brady proves each week that he can't call a game. He also can't oversee development of an offensive line.

But he's not the whole problem. There's something systemic here that makes you just about wish for the days of Jerry Richardson and Marty Hurney again.

Our team owner knows nothing about the game of football and makes decisions based apparently on his gut and not on wise advice given. He talks about analytics but apparently he never checks the numbers.

Our head coach appears in over his head and there's a chance that he has lost this team.

Our new GM is "in on every deal" and he appears to be the rube at the poker table. He's hit on one player this year after being incredibly busy in the wheeling and dealing. He's apparently the guy you hope and pray will walk onto your used car lot.

We can't change the owner, none of us have that kind of money. The rest, though, need to be changed.

Joey B. was saved by five elite players on LSU in 2019. Coach O was saved also. Once they left, the sh%t hit the fan

If you believe the accounts coming out of LSU, Orgeron big boi'd it up after he won the National Championship.

He's had substance abuse problems in the past - two weeks after winning the NC he divorced his wife of 20+ years, started drinking heavily again and tried to fug everything in sight.

I don’t know what is so hard about going max protect and running the ball and taking vertical shots appropriately

not sexy i know, but the reality is this line couldn’t stop the Giants

There is never a draw or screen that I can recall    The play call (or the QB changes or can’t execute) is  either 40 yards too long for the down or it’s 5 yards too short

it is sadly clear the interior of the line is very poor

thus continuing to try and run the same offense, game after game is madness

defense can’t stay in the field forever

Rhule needs his offensive coaches in a room and they need to come up with five plays they can run successfully NO MATTER THe SITUATION    5 plays that define who they are and just do it   They have probably won their last game anyway

right now, this isnt a pro team in the offense  the coaches need to step up

ps. There were several offensive coaches who left last year….I’ve always wondered why   Maybe, there are a lot deeper problems within that staff or with Rhule

LMAO. You guys are ridiculous! We’re 1.5 years into a rebuild and you’re BIG MAD over the fact that we’re not already a contender. We don’t have an offensive line yet. This is the part of the story where we suck. I get that fans want the team to win, but this angry, uninformed fan fiction you guys are writing is seriously pitiful. Come on, man!

Draft choices and free agent signings determined the state of this line, not  ‘fiction’,

There are numerous position groups and it is evident that Rhule and Co. went with the philosophy that it is better to build up one side of the ball rather than both at the same time. Our defense is really good, and would be even better without key injuries. They’re good enough to keep us in games if the offense plays even remotely competently. We don’t have a decent line yet. If we avoid going all in on Watson, we can use the same type of strategy to build a great o line this offseason, and then we’re back on an upward trajectory. It’s a message board snd I get that people are mad and just want to bitch, but it’s getting hysterical in here.

We can agree to disagree

the most important position in the nfl  is QB. The second is LT.

this brain trust has mishandled the QB position multiple times

Same with LT   Horn maybe a fine CB someday if he can be healthy but this team passed over a LT who is playing pretty damned fine right now

then again, we do not need to worry about Horn not being on the field because we have, oh, a million others in the DB, all in various form of injury and contract Russian roulette

Well something obviously crazy had to happen to get canned this quick after winning the title and seeing how the team looks compared to what they usually do.

    • People are using this "three year period" to gloss over the reality that he was very mid last year and in Purdy's case, "last year" means 40% of his starts. I don't "hate" Purdy, I just think he's a very middle of the pack starter and you can't pay those guys $50M+ a year. GMs and coaches can because they just want to keep their jobs. But as a fanbase if you're wanting to compete for SBs, ugh... you're basically resigning yourself to mediocrity with decisions like this.
    • Unless a miracle happens and we're legit SB contenders, I want to just miss the playoffs due to some close losses, not win the division to lose in the first round. We finally have all of our picks again next year, I'd rather be picking 5-7 spots higher in each round, while at the same time, then having a 2nd or 3rd place schedule next year instead of a 1st place one. I just can't see any scenario where we are true contenders this year, but we should find out if Bryce can be our QB of the future.  If he isn't, then we're not making the playoffs anyways and will have a high pick to replace him.  If he is, it means 2026 is the real opening of our SB window once we add some more defensive pieces, so I'd rather go into that season picking earlier and have an easier schedule. And yes, I know people will say think like "you need to win to gain confidence and experience, blah blah blah" But just missing out on the playoffs because you lost couple close games is certainly a way to make a team hungry going into the offseason and keep them motivated to be better. I've said it before and still think it holds true, we need to look at the Lions and hope to repeat their path. Our last few years were their early 2020s when they sucked.  This year can be our version of their 2022 when they missed the playoffs in week 17.  Then our 2026 can be their 2023 when they made a run to the NFC Championship game (and really should have won it).  Which then puts us in line to be one of the best teams in the league going into 2027, as they were last year.
    • Hmmmmm, sounds like a familiar fear And sure, a big part of my fear was the injury concern (that will always follow Bryce around) but the everything else I said is the same. If he's too good to let walk in FA but not good enough to justify a top end contract, we're in the worst possible situation
