Pull Darnold, he is done.

IMO, NOT pulling him is throwing in the towel. We are running the most bland, vanilla offense imaginable just to try to avoid the QB turning the ball over and yet Darnold is still turning it over in droves.

Who are you going to put out there?  PJ is not an upgrade over running the Wildcat let alone at QB.  Maybe one of the practice squad scrubs can keep it under 3 turnovers but I doubt it.

You gotta try something. You can't trot Darnold out there again after today. The team will completely quit on him.

I agree, but this is a hole he cannot dig out of by just changing to one of his other scrubs.  The damage is done.

IMO he ought to be forced to watch Sam crap the bed in every game this season. He needs to be reminded of what a horrible decision it was to go into the season with no other viable option at qb.  If it wasn't for the fact that I would be forced to endure it along with him that would be my wish.

Sam sucks but stop all this Teddy talk. I don’t want his ass back here, either.

There is a chance that we will be sitting at home this year watching Bridgewater in the playoffs, so I seriously doubt he wants to come back.

I would have preferred keeping him for a year, and drafting Jones or Fields, let them sit, learn, and spend our next offseason rebuilding the oline.

I'm not opposed to just flat out firing him because despite posters calling me negative and not a Panthers fan, both Teddy and Darnold turned out exactly how I said they would. It wasn't hard to predict. They are what they are. I really thought having Teddy fail would've shown them that you can't rely on reclamation projects, but no. They just doubled down and went with the polar opposite type of reclamation project. From smart but physically limited to physically talented but not mentally cut out for the NFL.

    • He's a hard player to rank, cause he is a young NT. I do see his abilities to branch out among the DL. That's the only way for him to land in the 1st, some team has to believe he's got the stuff to play DE or T3.... I just don't see using 19 on him, I feel there should be around 7 players just ranked higher than him for the Panthers team.  ___________________________________________________________________   Now you are a roster nut like me. Im tossing this into fire, I think a good move is to trade UP, yes rare. Just the roster #s tell me 5 rookies and no more than 2 starters will make the team. I feel 5 is magic number.    QB- 2  BY, Pickett RB- 3   Chubba, Brooks(pls), etienne TE- 4   Sanders, Temble, Evans, Draft pick/major/franks/UDFA OL- 10   Walker, Lewis, Fortner, Hunt, Motown, Zavailla, Samac, Stone, Draft pick, Draft pick/Charles/carter WR-  6   Tmac, XL, Coker, Metch, Horn, Tremay   offense=  25 with 3 draft picks   DL-  6   Brown, Brown, Wharton, Ray, Cam, Hunter/draft pick Ed-   5  Phillips, Nic, Prince, Jones, ST/incoom/hampton ILB-   5  Lloyd, Wallace, Bam, Claud, draft pick CB-    5 Horn, Jackson, Thor, Evans, draft pick/CSN/UDFA SS-  4  Scott, More, Ramsom, Sim   Defense = 25 with 3 picks   ST = known 3+o+d = 53 roster   SO I see only room for 5-6 with factoring in UDFA pool. That tells me to trade up! Bonus the 1st+3rd gets in front of TB yucs. Then use one of the 5ths+2nd to draft another target. That's your two starters and use the 4th, 5th and 6th for the development OTs and what ever the best player are at the pick/DB. The last couple years they have added 2-3 UDFA each year, maybe the same this year too. Soooooooo Im normally 95% trade back, but above made me change my mind. I do not want to waive 5th rounder, I feel thats high with players on the bench.    ??
