It's like buying a car with 200,000 miles and letting it be your only form of transportation. 

Yeah, the trade hurts now because hindsight, but I still didn't mind the trade when it happened. We gave up some draft picks to try and find our franchise QB who was still young and we thought we could fix him. I'm ok with that.

What I DIDN'T like is (like you said) doubling down on him before he even took a snap for us. Why not wait and see what you have before making a commitment? Also, not drafting some protection for your new QB that you are trying to "fix" was also a red flag. This many terrible decisions is why we will be a bottom dweller team for a long time.

Same. I didn't mind the trade (I wanted to give up a 3rd not a 2nd). But we basically brought a girl with a sketchy history a 18 million dollar engagement ring with a no refund policy before we even went on a date with her

      Posting Just for laughs….or, maybe not    “The Carolina Panthers weren’t on the list of Deion Sanders’ preferred landing spots for his son Shedeur. But that didn’t stop CBS Sports writer Ryan Wilson from already projecting the University of Colorado star to the Queen City—and with next year’s No. 1 overall pick, no less. Wilson, in his “way-too-early” 2025 mock draft, explains that a new quarterback may be on the horizon if the Panthers finish with the league’s worst record for the second year in a row: If nothing else, using the betting odds means that, for the third straight year, the Panthers have the No. 1 overall pick. Hopefully first-year coach Dave Canales can get the most out of Bryce Young, but if that doesn’t happen … you’d have to imagine quarterback at No. 1 (for the second time in three drafts for Carolina) will be a talking point. And with that pick, Wilson sends Sanders to Carolina: Shedeur Sanders made huge strides in his first year as an FBS QB and he’ll be in the conversation with several other players to be the first quarterback drafted. Sanders completed 69.3 percent of his passes for 3,230 yards, 27 touchdowns and just three interceptions in 2023”

      How short a leash will Young be on?

      If Young can't at least play average, then little QBs of the present and future might as well kiss dreams of being in the NFL "goodbye." Sure, there may be what people consider outliers,  like Russ and Murray, but Wilson and Murray aren't exactly little guys. Young is the test case.

      I really liked zona's draft too. It's a fair snap shot at a entertainment grade..   edit- raiders imo had a much better draft than the expert grade. I see lots of BPA and need filled.
