Even if they didn't think Fields was going to be on the board at 8 so they traded for Darnold, you still gotta take Fields there. It could be 3-5 years before you get another opportunity to have a promising QB fall into your draft lap like that. And we have like 10 cornerbacks now

The Panthers have cornered he market on CBs while going dumpster diving for QBs and O linemen.

It's almost like Panthers management doesn't know what they're doing.

How about Felix?

I went to South Meck with his son.

Let's get on the Sabates train!!!!!

No chance...he doesn't have the money either...and is/was already way too old.

Howard Levine was the best and most viable option of the local/minority partners Richardson had...

...in reality it was always a 1-horse race --- all the pageantry and "visits" (think Kestenbaum) were just that, for show --- the race was over before it ever started and Tepper was the only horse.

It’s the Seattle Super Bowl route. Get 3-4 elite secondary players and hope you hit on a cheaper QB. We just can’t seem to hit on the QB part!

He had some good plays that don’t show up on the stat sheet too.   Like the TD to Graham tonight in the corner of the endzone. Dumb penalty wiped it out.

An awful penalty call. He also had a nice throw to Robinson that got called back, too.

Lots of truth. It hurts.

It’s just so infuriating when the answer to so many questions was right there for us and instead our genius coach thought he was smarter than everyone. Message board fans should never be proven to make more logical and successful decisions than an NFL head coach and staff… yet here we are.

LOL on the last part. Fug that M-F-er, I wanted the Fanatics dude.

On an off note, I just realized that Credit One is one of the reasons that my credit score is 700+. They took a chance. So I'm sorry for calling Navarro an M-F-er. Still preferred the Fanatics dude though.

I wanted Michael Rubin (the Fanatics guy) too. I believe Joseph Tsai was attached with him. I think the NFL owners were wary of him bc he allegedly had Diddy in his ownership group and Diddy had already claimed that he would bring in Kaepernick if he became minority owner.

Meh, if Tepper owns up to his mistake in hiring Rhule and brings in new staff with a record of success in the NFL he'll buy my good will for at least a few more seasons.  If instead he decides to ride the Rhule bus off a cliff for another season or two I'll be forced to find more enjoyable things to do with my Sunday afternoons.

    • I disagree. For better or worse Bryce likes to throw floaters to predetermined areas regardless of what the reciever is doing and bringing those down is XL's bag. I wanted Ladd but I think this was right call. Burners and slot recievers are a dime a dozen but legit jump ball specialists are not.
