2 Things I saw that seemed to go unnoticed.

He actually played with the starters so I think Daley actually got injured or they just sat him, everyone else played 100% of the snaps

He was injured. Not sure what but he was in the weight room today and looked okay according to Rhule in today's presser.

I've seen a lot of people complaining about that throw on twitter and FB, but I don't see what they were complaining about. Yeah the throw was SLIGHTLY behind DJ but Cam threw 40 yards...from our 38 to the 18 where it drew a PI. I mean wtf y'all want?

IMO too many folks demand perfection from their heroes. Works great for TV and Movies. Not so much on the football field.

I think the pass was a "Statement" more than the smart play to make at that time of the game.  He was showcasing his arm--he'd heard the criticism.

Let's talk OL--if BC can develop (by the end of the season) into a serviceable LT, and if Elflien continues to look good at C, and if we can re-sign Jordan (assuming his improved play continues) and if Scott with Brown behind him can secure the RG duties, then we could be set at OL.

Often we draft players and demand immediate results or we call them busts, but BC just might do something at LT. Lets see how we do vs. the remaining schedule.

This would require some planetary alignment, but it could happen.

IF this Oline continues to improve, and Cam can finish strong. This team is capable of competing with anyone.

And at only the 1 1/2 mark of a complete rebuild. I would say that shows remarkable improvement.

If so, we picked a great year to have a draft with only a first rounder (so to speak).  We could then target a LT or MLB.

Going to be an interesting time leading up  to the draft. Especially if this team finishes strong. With how few draft picks we have, folks are going to be hyper-focused on that 1st one.

Do you keep it? And who do you take? Can you trade it? What can you get? A million things to talk about.

only thing holding me up about cam is that arm

the pass had plenty of power just needed a little touch, but that has always been an issue for him

regardless, it is very promising to see that the power is still there, now to see if it can hold up

remains to be seen, but for as rusty as he probably is, I thought it was great as well

as far as BC…i have honestly given up trying to evaluate the oline with so many changes at this point and the fact they were so god awful i don’t know if good means good or not complete poo means good anymore

time will tell all

With this team trending upward, and Cam at the helm. Who knows where this will lead. But man, I can promise, it is going to be fun.

I dug around trying to find Cam stuff, but all but one was not stolen and repeated over and over.

George Whitfield Jr is personal QB coach(ready for the fluff?? ok....) well he said its not the shoulder that the main issue, its the base or feet. Cam broke his foot and always been a arm thrower...Well age and injuries later; you need to use feet, legs, hips, core, chest, shoulder, arm, wrist, hand and fingers. Cam mainly armed throws, he spent the off-season focused on getting the feet to transfer power to the arm....*(I know heard it before).

Still thats it, thought I post that in here seeing this is mainly on the moore throw.

Carry on

1. On the long pass to Moore, Cam looked smooth. It looked absolutely effortless. No herky  jerky motion, no prolonged windup. Just a nice smooth throw. If that is the Cam we are getting? Things could get interesting around here.

2. BC played 13 snaps at LT, and nobody seemed to notice. (Including me, lol) Keep bringing the kid along, and sooner or later, he will win the job.

He played the last 2 Offensive Series if you want to go back and watch him. Nothing earth shattering, but nice solid work.

Another thing, on the slant pass that ended up behind more, the 0 tec had moved left into the throwing lane so Cam had to throw between the guard and tackle to avoid a batted pass.

The timing wasn't off and it wasn't a bad pass, the linemen went up as Cam was pulling back and based on where he was in the pocket he had to fit it through that window.

    • Except it takes those QB's a few years to develop because they needed to learn the mental side of the game and have it catch up to their physical attributes. Bryce was supposed to be a QB savant who already had a fully developed mental side of the game and that was going to make up for his lack of physical ability.  And his lack of NFL level QB physical traits has been clear as day to anyone who has watched him the last 3 years, mainly, he just doesn't have an NFL arm, he can't zip the ball into tight spaces or throw on a line down the field like is needed at this level.
    • Don’t recall seeing many of his interviews but what strikes me is that he engages and goes in depth. Even with the cliche answers as referenced by OP come across somewhat thoughtful.  Very likable personality despite being someone who can crush an average person like I can crush a paper cup. I knew Motons mother had a career at MSU but was looking on the google and found that Mushin Muhammad personally knew Motons grandfather.   His late grandfather was a professor at MSU.   Cool guy.  Interesting family and small world.
    • I think people aren’t patient enough with Young. It can take a few years for a QB to develop. Look at Darnold, Baker and most recently Daniel Jones.   he hasn’t been able to put up big passing numbers either cause of how much we run the ball. You can tell our coaching staff still hasn’t took the training wheels off Bryce and let him go all out. We’ve had some pretty bad receivers as well. We finally got a true number one last year and look how much Bryce improved. Still we didn’t really have any depth behind TMac. Coker was hurt for a lot of the year and XL was our #2. How many big plays or TDs has XL dropped? I think this year can be the year we see Bryce able to hit his stride. If not then we can start looking for another qb but I just ask people to be patient.
