Increase in ticket sales.....

....50% of fans think its the second coming of Panther football.....

.....and 50% think they can't pass up a watching a train wreck live.

and Tepper smiles at it all.

Rhules thinks .....hmm......there's not enough room in the clubhouse for both of our egos.

Me?...........I let Cam himself speak for what he is.

When first drafted into the NFL Cam was asked what he wants his goal and legacy in the NFL.........(perhaps a HOF career with some SB rings?)

Cam just answered.........."To be know as an iconic great sports entertainer"

"I'm back........I'm back.......thank God almighty I'm back!"

Discuss among yourselves..........

I have no idea what was discussed between Cam and the Panthers before they signed him but I feel like, it seems like, they made some type of agreement. What that was I could only speculate but Cam definitely has an objective. You can see when he speaks that he is choosing his words carefully and he's speaking towards something. He's speaking about retaking the stadium. Past glory. It just looks to me like he's here to not only improve our offense but to be a spiritual leader for these young guys. Whether or not that's all on him or it's part of an agreement I don't know but since this ticket thing happened so quickly with he team's support I would think this is all part of an agreement. It fits Cam perfectly and should really help the team.

Energy (emotion) is so important in everything in life. It's the driver of behavior that may embody a passionate expression or even (apparently) intellectual/logical pursuits. We're energetic beings, and the game of football is highly passionate for many who play (and for fans) as well. Having the surge of energy from Cam's homecoming cannot be underestimated. Who knows how long or how intense that fire will burn, but it's certainly a catalyst for change within the team.

It’s certainly exciting to have Cam back but keep in mind this is the same QB that threw 8 TD’s and 10 interceptions last year.

Sam Darnold threw 11 interceptions already this year.

Cam also had 12 rushing touchdowns many of which could have been passing td's but the scheme called for runs, and he had a high completion %

This. If you are inside the 5 with Cam as your QB, QB power or RO is almost guaranteed touchdowns. Why would you throw there? In those short yardage situations, he's gonna rack up on the ground. And last I check they're still worth 6 pts.

Anyway, Cam is going to have an off passing TD/int ratio simply because he's cannibalizing some of those TD's in the air because of what he can do with his legs. Either way, if his stats are similar to NE last year, he's still an upgrade over Darnold by far.

Will anyone ever know if Tepper really wanted Cam back? Probably not. But one thing is clear, he knows a money making opportunity when he sees it. Cam should get commission from the ticket sales.

I'm pretty sure Tepper is the main reason that Cam is back. He's the owner of the team.

Yup people have taken off like a rocket and the crash could be epic. Hopefully we get game management Cam because are defense is so good that all we need is 23 points and no turnovers. That's not asking for a lot in this NFL.

Why does this matter?

Because some people just can't help but trumpet their own cultural bias to the rest of the world. It's a bit sad, but I've learned to just ignore it myself for the most part.

For me, I couldn't care a whit less what Cam wears to the podium, so long as he's true to himself and free to be who he wants to be. More power to him, and to anyone who is brave enough to express themselves in a positive manner, however it is they want to. Last I checked, whatever level of flamboyancy he decides to display won't truly be harmful to anything, other than maybe to those poor pearls clutched by folks who deem it to be 'not the norm' as they're crushed in ire.

    • I do believe that Evero gets canned before the end of the season and Capers takes over the D. I think the stage is set for Evero to fall on the sword for a 4-7 win season.  Not saying it would be a set up but I do think if that transpires, the seat under DC might start getting pretty warm, rightly or wrongly. That's my read on Tepper. I am not at all excited nor am I dreading anything. I just have extremely low expectations so I am just waiting to see what this revision of the roster looks like.  I FEEL like we are better on paper than last season's team but I wouldn't be remotely shocked if we were as bad or worse. Again, I do think this is the 2nd worst roster in franchise history overall. What will really make me happy is for some of the big questions to finally be answered(Bryce, Ikey, Horn, etc). I would like to see a real expansion of our core player pool(basically just D. Brown currently). I want to see a couple of hits in free agency and a couple in the draft. If we accomplish those things, I have faith that we are at least moving in the right direction after many, many years doing the opposite.
    • Considering our depth. Certainly kick the tires.
    • I am not so sure about that. I don't know that he is so soley offensively focused as winning focused. But, not really in a productive way. I get the impression he wants to be like Robert Kraft and take credit for "taking a risk on Bill Belichick" and being successful.  His track record indicates that in the NFL and in his business life.
