Hmm. I didn't notice that. Nice catch. I did see one specific play where Gilmore lined up on Terry, so i guess I just assumed (without taking notice) that gilmore would be on WR1 if he was on the field.

I was watching on my iphone lol

Yeah I remember the same play you are probably thinking of. Bottom of then line up on the left side of the field sometime in the second half.

The worst part is that our coaching staff just sat back and watched the train wreck up close.

Are you surprised after the last Sam game? He was done at halftime and the world knew it. They still let him finish.

I think they just don't belive it when they don't see what they thought they would see. Like it's going to turn around, just one more rep...idk it's ridiculous.

Personally, I think the Panthers didn't think WFT was a threat and they didn't prepare properly.  That's for all defensive positions.

Wonder if a .500 football team with a losing record overall and during this regime getting full of itself is part of the process or the brand.

Terry McLaurin is no scrub. D-jax was playing extremely undisciplined yesterday trying to go for the big play instead of playing his assignment. Ron knew his tendencies and game planned around it.

This exactly!

And to further my rant, when the living hell has Djax ever just been man to man with a number 1 with absolutely no help?

I swear even the commentators where spot on drawing a circle around the matchup that went to McLaurin which came as a surprise to no one.

It was just really bizarre to me. I swear I cannot remember Djax being alone one on one with a receiver all year long. Especially a receiver on the weak side of the play with absolutely no one else around.

You can tell the play was designed to expose Jackson.  Every single skill player for WFT was on the right side of the ball and only Djax and McLaurin were on the left together.

He had a down game against one of the best receivers in the game.

No nobody can ever have a bad game here.. No one looks up the actual stats and realize dude has been playing at a pro bowl level most of the season and hasn't giving up many big plays all season..

Gilmore: limited snaps/role, will be playing larger role as weeks go by

Yeah, they stuck Gilmore on basically every key down down Pitts played.   Same for AJ Green.

and they largely did the same in the second half vs McLaurin.  He had that TD in the second half and I called it presnap.  Easy TD.  How you going to run zone and let him line up in the slot and expect Shaq to deal with that in the redzone.

College staff thought Terry was fast and thought Jackson is fast and therefore that was a good gameplan.  They forget that Jackson doesn't play DB that great.....and his mistake/makeup speed is irrelvant if a good WR also has speed.

it was just poor coaching.  Rhule talking about snap count is just his way of not admitting to the clear botched coaching job.

ITT: I learned a bunch of people weren't paying attention to Terry McLaurin before yesterday. Dude is a monster. I don't know exactly how many, but a sizable chunk of Heinicke's completions this year are because he just throws the ball deep, and McLaurin makes a catch that has you going, "how the hell did he do that?"

bad QBs/offenses vs a fantastic pass rush = nice season for DBs.   That's what Jackson's season has largely been built off of.

It was argued before this game by many, that Gilmore is on another planet that Jackson.   To be considered a top DB, you got actually play well vs teams that can throw the ball to good players.

Cool . The Buffalo defense just got there asses handed to them By Carson Wentz and who is his WR corp again???

Dallas got crushed by the Broncos and TEDDY!!

It Happens to every player and every defense...

Henkie and crew scored more points on Tampa then us right?? And they have All Pro's all over that defense..

And let's just be factual here.. Against Dak, and Cousins what did Djax actually give up (rec. Yards, TD) .. Please research this before making a narrative...
