What I don't understand is how in our first year with our current coaching staff, the team seemed to be playing so hard and competitive each game. While the defence sucked - it improved over the season to even touching elite status to start out this 2nd year... How did everything fall off a cliff so hard? Did we just get figured out? Locker room lost? All the above?

NFL can smell when you're not NFL material and proceed to make you pay. They then pass around the cliff notes on your ars.

Rhule is not the one who chose Joe brady. Tepper was the one that did. Matt Rhule should be given a chance to hire who he wants to be his OC. Rhule has his problems but let not be one of the teams that doesn't give the head coach time to build a winning team. I for one will at least let him choose his own OC. If that doesn't work out then thay can fire him.

It's hard to build a team when you are consistently making missteps.  It's hard to say this team is any better than last year and it has CONSIDERABLY more talent.  That is on the coaching staff, particularly the head coach...especially one with as much pull in personnel matters as Rhule has.

Yeah he wanted full control and now he has to live with those decisions.

Not surprised. He and Rhule just don't seem to be on the same page at all and the offense has been a mess since Rhule started dictating a more run focused approach. Doing it during the bye week made sense. Let's see if the offense improves with the change. If it doesn't we gotta fire Rhule. I do think this move being made mid-season may very well indicate that Rhule's seat kay he significantly warmer than most "sources" seem to believe.

Bradys like YO DAWG DIS MY TEAM WHERE MUH NEWPORTS AND CHAINS?

    • I think Indiana will win it all but Miami should give them a much better fight than Oregon did.
    • When I tell people I was at that game, they usually say oh that’s so cool you had the experience. I call it soul crushing. Why? The weeks and months leading up to it were great, the team was fun to watch every week…some weeks the offense was unstoppable and carried the team (saints and giants road games), other times the defense carried the load (jaguars, tampa). Lots of back and forth games against good teams (Seattle and Indy). Good young players on the team, but the veteran leadership was incredible…from Cam, Olsen, Kalil and J Stew to Luke, TD, Norman, Tillman, Jared Allen, CJ. Role players like Fozzy Whitaker, Cotchery (he caught that MFer), Philly brown, Kyle love, AJ Klein, and so on.  The Friday before the nfc championship my wife and I after a few drinks said let’s see what prices look like for flights/accommodations and we got to talking about how much prices would increase if we waited until we found out if we would be in the big game. We said screw it, we are only out $200 if we have to cancel.  Of course we come out and just pulverized the cardinals in front of the most raucous crowd by far we’ve ever had. We had no idea what we would do for game tickets and then found out a neighbor who worked for the team could get us 2 for face value (each employee got two of their own for free, something cool that JR did).  But then the NFL mafia decided that the storyline of manning going out on top like Elway would give them more goodwill than a non traditional QB who didn’t connect with their target demo and the rest is history. I never have and never will watch that game again. I am just hoping I can see them win one in the 2nd half of my life.
