These young sports writers at the Observer are giving us something different. Got the feeling the older ones would criticize or predict against the Panthers just to prove they were not homers.  These young ones like Ellis (the newest) and Luke seem to be giving a lot more content.  Hope Tepper is reading them.  

 

(He'll probably try to get them fired...lol)

Big difference in college and NFL. Even bigger difference in small school football and NFL football. You can't make it on broken parts in the NFL. You have to have the brightest and most skilled FO and coaching to really be successful. Hopefully this sting will allow Tepper to learn and move on. It's extremely important now to allow Fitters to bring in his own guy and have control over the roster. We need to see if he's actually worth his salt because Rhule isn't.

But it is long past time to get serious about winning in Carolina.

The Panthers have languished for half decade while Tepper tried to figure it out on his own, without expert NFL consultants.  

Seriously Dave, bring in a team of top shelf NFL management ASAP to finally clean this train wreck up.

It is Luke Decock.  At one time the Observer had a subscription just for sports that was just for sports.  Not sure if they still do.

I suspect Dave/Hurney/both though he/they might be outsmarting the NFL/ahead of the curve with the Rhule hire and all that stuff about analytics and setting up a sport science program that we've never heard anything else about since then. Unfortunately, the rest of the package seems to be lacking.

...I agree we have some decent talent on this team with the exception of oline...and the QB position unsettled.... rhule and co. could have done nothing and been better this year but we have regressed in year two.... i'm not sold on Snow either... only cause of his affiliation rhule, and we all question his decision making abilities at this point.

Sounds a lot like his Baylor team. Would always fail when going against college elite.

That's part of my issue with Tepper though. He wants to be the smartest guy in the room...but he's not. 

Every once in a while the league gets someone who wants to do  things different than the norm because he thinks it'll be innovative. Such folks frequently find out that there's good reason why things are done a certain way.
