I think with a competent coaching staff, rebuilding the OL and keeping key FAs this team is a playoff contender next year.  Yup, I said it.  That's how badly this roster is being mismanaged.   Lack of talent is not the main issue here ( except on the OL) coaching is.

Yet it's no exaggeration to say that right now might be the worst I've ever felt about the Panthers.

The 2001 team was at least entertaining, if not competitive a fair bit of the time, and invented new and interesting ways to lose, and the 2010 team had the promise of the #1 overall pick and a brand new staff for 2011. At the moment we're just in this weird purgatory that has lasted for several years.

      All I can say is... I have some happiness off the rags choking and losing to the Panthers. Hopefully the Western conference team wins the Stanley cup, but now I can be 100% uninvested in the playoffs
