Interesting thing I saw in the game yesterday..................let me set this up for you.

In my freshman year in college I had a def roommate............during the year he had taught me how to read lips and I'm very good at it. So when I watch TV if I can't hear the volume or see a sporting event and a coach on the sidelines moving his mouth I can read what they are saying.

Yesterday during the first drive the Panthers had......when they got to the 50 yard line area for another first down the sideline camera showed Matt Rhule walking the sidelines and talking into his headset to I imagine the OC..................what his said for me was clear as day to read off his lips..........he said,

"Okay, so then what do we do now??"

I couldn't believe it.........

Fitterer had 0 to do with anything Hurney he's still clean for now.

Outside of signing Sam.  Trading our 22 draft picks for the worst QB in the NFL and needlessly picking up his 5th year option.

then the pointlessly horrible and massive Robbie contract

and being part of bringing back Cam to basically poop on him for Sam once given the option.

    • This is a toughie because I wonder what a guy like Canales thinks about redemption stories for addiction issues. Also, I think this is a case of 1 player getting caught, and not being naive enough to think this isn't more common in college than we think. I'd toss a 3rd rounder out there. 2026 is essentially a redshirt season regardless, so he's not taking over for any NFL QB next year. Best case, he's ready to go in 2027 if we pass on Bryce's extension. Worst case, he's our future backup QB2. Kid has the tools to be an NFL QB. I do think we could somehow land a '26 3rd round pick back in a trade. Our past years' third rounders are: Brazzell Princely Wallace DJ Johnson Matt Corral All this to say, I could see a team like the Jets going w/ a 2nd. They have three FRPs next year.
    • Alright man! We're here for it! Just glad you're keeping the doors open!
    • I think we've seen improvement in Bryce's performance. It still isn't up to world beater status, but in Canales defense, he can say that the limitations of the player were hit. I think he survives that even if Bryce doesn't. Still, I think it's a 50/50 shot for Bryce to make it. QB is one of the toughest jobs to do in the sports world, if not the most, so the failure rate is really high, no matter the pedigree. Heck, Archie Manning gets a lot of credit as a great QB but anyone who saw his career in motion knows he wasn't really that good and he was surrounded by bottom of the bowl players. He did get it figured out with his sons, though. That grandson... maybe.
