We going to learn he can protect the qb's blindside?

Are you forgetting that we have been getting torched the last decade against our pass happy division rival? We have arguably the best cornerback prospect since Jalen Ramsey. You need to have perspective & not short term memory.

We went out of our way to stockpile corners and we were still the worst team in our division.

Who would you rather have?  A potential corner that might be as good as ramsey or an all pro rookie left tackle?

And honestly Darnold is as good or better than Fields, Jones .. all three aren't that good and a healthy Cam is better

Darnold is a veteran that just had one of the worst seasons of a starting QB in the NFL - his fourth consecutive case for being the worst starter in the league. Jones and fields are both promising rookies - one of whom had a better season than Darnold outright, and the other of which flashed great talent repeatedly, but is still raw...

It’s just rubbing salt in the wound at this point.  Slater was a good prospect but it’s over and done.  Rhule can’t evaluate poo so we’re going to get a lot more of these posts in the future.  Being hyper-focused on measurables instead of tape is something you can’t change at this point.

The more and more Rhule pushes to make BC a guard, the more and more I think he could be our all pro LT of the future.

Christensen might not be a future All Pro but he looks like he can develop into at least an adequate LT (and who knows, maybe he could ??).  In any case even adequate would be a huge improvement for the Panthers after years of sub-par play at that position.

    • You joke, but hasn't basically the whole team been in Charlotte this past week together? I'm not one to see the random dumb stuff players put out on social media in the offseason and think it means that's ALL they've been doing and not working on their game.  But it's a little strange that all this is coming out at the same time we're seeing tons of stuff with the team in Charlotte together, even if it's just working out and not even official team OTA's or anything. So he gets a pass from me saying anything now, but if he doesn't show clear improvement this season, it then opens him up to some retroactive criticism for some things.
    • Ha-ha, I bet that went through everyone's mind.  Admittedly I don't read all the comments in a thread before I make a post. Great minds think alike!
    • Cam was hitting his stride as a QB in 2017/2018.     This is why I think stats like completion percentage are overrated. As long as a QB is clutch and makes the throws to win the game the rest doesn’t really matter. What good is a check down stat padder if they’re a choker.  Until Norv Turner (and briefly Chud) got here we put Cam in high pressure throwing situations all the time. We also ran the ball on first down more than most teams in the NFL in the Ron era. Coupled with shitty WRs, all that is expressed in his stats. I also assume Cam took the ball in his hands on many occasions rather than trust Funchess to catch the ball.    It was also never Cams job to play the game like someone else. His presence on the field dictated the game in a way that is rarely seen.  He showed he could play the dink and dunk game just before TJ Watt. That didn’t suddenly make him better than his earlier seasons. He just got put in a legit under center  passing game again for first time since his rookie year with Chud.    Ron took the quickest path to success and abused the RPO because his ass was about to get fired.    Cam never got the credit for being the cerebral player that he was. I just think when you are legitimately a human Superman, sometimes the best play is having the ball in your hands. He was a better passer than Delhomme was.
