Richardson > Tepper

Time to face the facts.  Richardson was a poor mans Jerry Jones, but he only cared about winning.  Tepper looks at the team as an investment and has absolutely no clue how to build a franchise, that let's be honest, needs to be completely rebuilt.  I hate Richardson/Jones owners, but I despise Tepper type investors.  I would take a Richardson approach over a Tepper approach, but both suck.  People really get confused when it comes to investors like Tepper....they don't need to be the best at anything...they just need to ride the wave and make money.  There is NO winning mentality in an investor....they live to make a profit, not be the best at anything.

Moved out of Charlotte 18 years ago and really only support the Panthers because it's impossible to stop supporting your team even if the entire model is flawed....I would rather be the mini Pittsburgh Steelers replicating their model rather than be an average NFL team that's goal is to remain in the black....Tepper sucks donkey balls.

I understand where you're coming from, but it's wayyy too early. If there's one thing Tepper understands, it's that winning makes money. I agree that he's in new territory for him and is definitely floundering, but he will get better and learn from his mistakes. Now, I think we'd all be a lot happier if he started the learning process immediately and fired the wet fart of a coach we have. The lack of transparency of Tepper's vision for next year is down right infuriating.

lol that's bullshit.  Richardson cared about the league and its image above all.  I'm seeing people trying to retcon Jerry Richardson as Robert Kraft or some poo and it's laughable.

Maybe he's better than Tepper, but you can say that without having to make poo up about how Richardson "only cared about winning" when he made move after move that proved he didn't.

    • So tell me he didn't sulk on the sidelines with his head in a towel when he played poorly early in his career. Do you remember when he first was drafted he wouldn't even work with the team in the weight room until Thomas Davis set him straight. Cam was our best QB until he got hurt but he had a lot of growing up to do which he did. But let's remember he was a work in progress just like Bryce although at different things. And lets be real Cam joined a much better team than Bryce did especially the defense. What hurt Cam and the team was fruit basket turnover evey year by Gettleman which kept the team from developing chemistry and consistency early in several seasons.  I loved Cam but am realistic about his progress and need to develop and grow.
    • Actually the support seems legitimate and not just when in public. It is a team sport and players have to believe and trust their QB and give their all for the team. Lately that seems to be developing. As players have shared their is a different culture being built for the Panthers as winning helps players see the changes result in some success.
    • I see progress and improvements. We aren't the same team we were even at the beginning of this year. You want to harp on the past while I am all about the present and future. Do I know thinks are going to be great moving forward? Actually I don't but I prefer to look at the good instead of the bad. Since he is surely going to be the QB the rest of this year barring injury, I am going to root for him to succeed instead of fail. I always said if we are going to finish at 500 for the year I prefer we win at home since I will be there and want to see wins and crying opposing fans like the cowboys. So far mission accomplished. Now we have to show we can win on the road.
