That the best of the Carolina Panthers, of coaching and management, was bought at a bargain-basement prices from the organization by the Buffalo Bills in 2017.

I watched them last night and caught major dejavu vibes.

Switch jerseys and that’s our damn team.  Our whole identity resides in Buffalo NY.

It was pretty apparent after that disaster of our post Super Bowl season in 2016 that Gettelman and Rivera needed to go. With Dave’s handling of that offseason (Josh Norman situation and an utter embarrassment of a draft) and Rivera’s handling / lack of defense of Cam almost getting killed on the field every week I think everyone had seen enough.

We had our future head coach and GM waiting to step up in an almost seamless transition but decided to stay the course and it’s been all downhill ever since.

That blunder even cost us all having to live through Marty Hurney part 2 FFS.

Literally all of the Panthers problems are self inflicted. fuging joke of a franchise.

We did find a way to finish in sixth place--we have to do better if we want to draft #1.

Well, the Bills got Allen at 7. There are quite a few starters in the NFL that weren't top 10 picks. But, it also takes a competent coaching staff and competent player evaluation, so I guess we can go ahead and write that off.

Bills and Bengals fans deserve this it's been a long road I hope they make a run and reset the power structure. Panthers fans better hope they get the right decision makers in front and stop trying to Stan dudes responsible for 5 win seasons or we could be the next longest running drought.

Every year we keep Rhule will put us in the hole further. I suspect after this offseason it will be much, much worse.

Get ready for Rebuild 2.0, starting in 2023.

    • Nfl leaders don't look at the population of just the city itself.  Charlotte has three of the top fifty combined statistical areas within a 1 to 1.5 hour drive.  Charlotte, Greensboro/WS/High Point, and Greenville Spartanburg.  Those three statistical areas include nearly 7 million people.  Other than Raleigh, the only one in the top fifty within an hour and half of raleigh is Greensboro.  So only about 4-5 million people.  Charlotte has many more people to draw from.   Also, many of the surrounding communities for Raleigh are not native born.  If memory serves, many still refer to Cary as Containment area for relocated Yankees.  One of the reasons the Canes do so well is a significant portion of the population are people who moved from Northern Areas.  Would that population translate into support for a NFL team?  Hard to say, but I see a tremendous amount of Giants/Jets jerseys in the triangle when I forced to endure the crazy traffic on 40/85.
    • This will also be prime Training Camp meltdown time on here lol. Preseason game 1 August 8th, i'm guessing camp starts around July 25-27th
