I didn't say it would happen, I was saying I am hoping it will happen.... There is a difference.

In all seriousness, the roster isn't all terrible.... I just think they need proper coaching.

Our roster is actually pretty good outside of a few glaring, extremely important spots.  That being, MLB, LT and QB.  No big deal LOL.

There's the part of me that is utterly thrilled this deal fell apart.

Then I think about the fact that this franchise was willing to do something incredibly stupid because of an owner I have no confidence in making rational decisions.

Getting a franchise QB IS a rational decision. That's why Tepper has pushed hard for one the last few years. It's the most important thing in sports.

There's a big difference in knowing what needs to be done and knowing how to do it.

Saying "we need a great quarterback" makes sense.

Moving from that to saying "let's trade for Jimmy Garoppolo" for example, not so much.

And the Watson trade was always a "Gift of the Magi" type proposition. That's just not the smart way to go if you really want to build a complete team.

It was a long shot the Panthers were getting Watson all along. Falcons have the advantage of being his home town and once he decided to go home to Atlanta it was over. Everything else is irrelevant.

The guaranteed years on the contract he requested was just leverage to negotiate with Atlanta.

So maybe FO discipline was why Watson dropped us?

The Panthers most likely knew they were out of the race by that point. Deshaun was using the Panthers offer as leverage in his contract negotiations with the Falcons.

    • You honestly think Tampa would have traded down with a division rival so their rival could land a “generational player” at a massive position of need for TB?   bruh
    • Ya'll better quit throwing shots at Zod. He'll come in here and ban everybody. I had a friend @prosource who was banned in 2015 because he said some very minor things about Zod being an ass to the posters on the main forum after starting the All-Pro one. He said he felt like another level is cool, but don't punch down on people that don't want All-Pro. (He did say that it wasn't going to last long anyways.🤔) I distinctly remember him calling and being like "dude, I got banned, my profile says I don't have access to the Huddle!") I feel like once Tepper came in and cut off all unofficial access to the team, Zod was going to be around less. The All-Pro board had really good photos, even in game stuff, and I remember seeing him behind a little fenced in area at Wofford for non team sanctioned press/photographers after Tepper bought the team. I knew then his ego wouldn't allow him to continue with past fervency and effort with that reduction in access. Dude was literally in the locker room when JR was owner.  I came over in 2011 immediately after finding out this place existed. I was super involved with the Charlotte forum, and fell off after its demise. I will never forget arguing Pep over Ryan Sims on that forum! Who is Ryan Sims some of you may ask? My answer is exactly!
    • And not see him running free. Because has been free a lot more than he gets credit for.    Now what XL does with that when he does see the ball, is on him.
