Per sources, the #Panthers have had conversations with Cam Newton regarding a return

Sheena’s credibility is shot to me.  She used the Watson situation to gain clout then claimed she was right all along.  She posted a screenshot of her “greatest comeback since 28-3” tweet on ig after he signed with Cleveland and gloated that she had it right all along, when it was clear that she was insinuating DW to Atlanta with that tweet.

Then, “per her sources” Fisher was in talks with us.  Turned out to be completely false.  She took shots at the team and fanbase, sorry but I’m done putting stock in what she says.

Yea she’s a flimsy source at best. A smart fan can speculate better than her “sources” can report.

If we’re to draft a QB, go and get Willis and have Cam back him up/teach the ropes.

Literally the only reason to bring him back. Just a waste of cap and another flaccid attempt to keep fans otherwise and it will probably work, again.

Lol no he doesn’t

he def has offers but they aren't exactly good ones. backup jobs and earn-it-in-camp type positions. seattle has been talking to him for sure but they might wait until after the draft to actually pursue signing him

Rashad from PNP said a few days ago that he had a source that said there is a deal on the table for Cam right now. It's up to Cam if he wants to sign. The whole "seeing how the off-season plays out" makes sense if this is true.

Dave said it.

    • The aversion to tying up too much money in the ground game around when it’s what’s winning us games is crazy to me. I get letting Rico walk if you think he’s easily replaceable but I don’t see many people arguing that, just applying an arbitrary salary cap based on what we think RBs are currently worth. I’d rather be stuck with Hubbard as an overpaid backup (not the worst one to have, mind you) than lose out on the most productive player on the offense personally.
    • Why do people keep saying things like “it’s not Young’s fault we spent so much to draft him”? Who cares if it’s his fault?  Nobody is saying send him to jail or anything.  People aren’t talking about blame for the decision to draft him, they’re talking about how bad he is as a QB and how we’d be much better with even an average QB.  Pointing out that we sunk a lot of resources into drafting him isn’t invalidated because he didn’t make that decision himself. Doesn’t matter whose fault that was, he’s still not playing like a QB who was drafted at all, much less one that cost two firsts, two seconds and a #1 WR.
