This ain't true at all, people are actually looking at talent level and productivity in college and aren't impressed by the QBs this year.

And the consensus on those next year quarterbacks will change with the wind just like it did with this years class. No one can predict how they will perform and how that will affect their draft stock there is plenty of time left for things to change positively or negatively. Rest assured if we do not draft one this year these same takes will be prevalent before next years draft too.

Like they weren't impressed with Tom Brady?  Joe Montana?  Russell Wilson?  like that?  Or like they were impressed with Tim Couch, Ryan Leaf, Jamarcus Russell?  Which is it?

Settling for less is what got us Sam Darnold, please get a grip and understand the Panthers are a long term rebuild

Uh no. What got us Sam Darnold was the front office was scared to draft their own QB and instead negotiated against themselves and traded for another teams already chewed up and spit out failure without even watching his gametape. If you don't want one in this draft that's fine but using Sam Darnold to justify it is going over a ledge to make a point.

I love Walker--and I see it.  If he goes #1, then Hutchinson at #2...Neal could fall to us---but I am guessing the Jets would take him at #4 and spend the rest of the draft on defense.

Jets still have that mountain Becton, but Ive seen where they are shopping him around..... Either could draft Ekwonu and play him at LG....but a top 4 pick used on a OG is not smart football....even for the jets/jags. Jets could be done with Becton, hell Id love a shot at that mountain and sign his dad while we are at it...

Jet fans have the least amount of patience of any fan base in the NFL.  They want to get rid of Wilson and he just got there

    • Damn I liked A'Shawn too. This is basically a heads up we're planning on cutting you move.  Robinson wasn't the best but I loved his attitude and effort on the field. He held that entire dline together when Brown went down iirc..granted we finished that season as the worst rushing defense in modern NFL history.  If Wharton would have performed up to atleast half of his salary last season, I'd feel a little better about it. We do need that cap space though.
    • 13. Carolina is coming. The Panthers are well thought of around the league. Their "process" seems sound. I think their off-season will be very interesting to keep an eye on. They made the playoffs, but they're not yet knocking on the door. (Offense was 26th in EPA/play.) I think it's imperative they don't overestimate where they are in their build. They can't throw a ton of money around in FA to "make a run now". They need to be intentional about building a solid foundation. (IMO) And from what I know about the team... I think they will be. Sidenote: I have my eye on offense there, not defense. They HAVE to leave next season with a strong opinion on Bryce Young. They need to put pieces around him to do that. Can't be left wondering what he would have looked like with "better OL play" or "more pass catchers". They have to know. (That part is purely my opinion. No one told me that.) https://x.com/lindsay_rhodes/status/2027212533417869499?s=46&t=xeIgh_-Vr2aKxBkBJdfnKA
    • Because this DL is completely reliant on Brown being available and being a stud. Without him we were the worst D in history. The Wharton signing last year reeked of desperation. He just isn't a great fit for us schematically and I think we panicked a little bit when we missed out on Milton Williams who would have been a great fit.
