What is the impetus for the “Keep Pounding” pushaway?

I don't see the correlation of "keep pounding" being a Richardson thing. That makes no sense to me. It's literally a team thing, it's Sam Mills.

This is Tepper's team, and he has let everyone know it by his actions. He has no allegiance to Sam Mills' saying. He wants to put his brand on the team.

Just imagine Tepper changing the logo to "Brass Balls" and change team name to fit logo. Running onto the field with the brass balls on the helmet along with brass colored uniforms. The league will surely want this team disbanded really quick.

That’s the most puzzling thing. It extends beyond the name. Not many teams have a mantra. Skill Nation, Who Dat and maybe Keep Pounding, not much else. It really brings a long extra layer to the table.

Pardon the autocorrect *Skol and *long=nice

Tepper didn't start it thus Tepper doesn't want it. How can you feed your own ego with someone else's slogan?

Sometimes the simplest answers are the right ones.  I scoff at this whole franchise, at the irony in that the most fragile egos of all are those who've risen the highest and pretend otherwise.

They want to get rid of it so bad they only have 27 different items for sale with it on the team store.

They'd hang on to Jimmy Clausen jerseys if they thought they could sell them.

The team store is not an indicator of team direction.
