Jimmy G' s surgery.....

I am not a Dr. and don't know what the extent of his injury was or how it may effect his future. I know Jake had Tommy John surgery and he was never the same. Is his injury something that should heal 100% with no long term effects or may it possibly cause future problems?

All they need is to roll the dice and come up with a guy who can't throw the ball twenty yards.

In fairness, Drew Brees also had Shoulder surgery before signing with the saints and went on to be arguably the most prolific passer of his era.

Was it the same surgery? And every player is different. Aren't to many Drew Brees's around.

I've been trying to find out the actual injury and I cant find much, but I do know Brees had a labrum and rotator cuff injury that was operated on.  That said, Im not saying Garroppolo is Brees, you're right, He's a unicorn, but moreso I think its fair to say you can find many situations where the surgery went well and the player went back to playing at pre-injury efficiency, but I also understand the hesitancy because any little hiccup in the recovery could permanently damage the player like what happened to Jake.

It was a torn labrum.

Here's the main problem... he kinda sucks. We're sitting here asking ourselves if he can get back to that same baseline of suck. Yikes. I'd seriously rather just stick with Darnold. Throwing good money after bad I not the answer.

Would you rather have Jimmy G - Baker - Darnold - or Cam - starting week 1

I love Cam, but I'd prefer he retire.

The other three? Honestly, probably Baker but there's almost certainly a lot to the toxicity rumors about him.

Jimmy G or Darnold? Honestly, I'd just watch other games.

    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
    • Nah we just talking about giving a platform and normalizing predators (who both beat women) opinions and celebrating it if it fits your narrative.  If that's fun I'm fine being a miserable fug by not supporting P.O.S like that. N b4 you call me a libtard or some other dumb ish know I'm an Anarchist/Libertarian and believe both these dudes should get a complete ass whooping (at min) or something worse for what they have done to women in this world.
