Don't know if it's already been posted, but McShay's Final Mock has us taking Neal

If Evan Neal is available at 6, the Panthers should take him. We never replaced Jordan Gross.

But if we're taking a guy who may not even make it through his rookie contract before his body breaks down, we won't be replacing him then either.

Run to the podium... He missed 1 game his college career.. Is the most fit 340lb+ player I have ever seen..

Fellow big man here. Just some facts- god/___ has RARELY made natural 300 LB men. Most of the time its a natural 220 guy carrying 100 extra LBs. Neal is the .00001% thats hes a natural 300 Lb man. Hes been my main target since day one.....just that I believe the trade back offer will make this 50/50.

Yes I can look at big men and see if they aren't naturally that size.. Neal look perfect proportion all over his body for a man that big and has some actual abs for a Olinemen.. You rarely See Olinemen with Abs!!

Many big guys, have small shoulders, short arms, long torso& short legs, etc etc. They just dont have big hands, long arms, Big wrist, big feet, etc etc. Skeleton is dis-proportional, no matter the PEDs, roids and tricks. Neal is the ultra rare natural 300 LB grown ass MAN. Like a white tiger, public doesnt get to see them, but they do exist......

Peppers was the rare natural 300 man as well, I think the only one ever played for panthers.

    • All these rankings have more to do with the writers love or hate for a team.  Morgan, IMO, has done a really good job at building this team.  Yeah, there are a couple of whiffs but for the most part he has done quite well drafting and signing free agents.  22 is a bit low but it's a stupid opinion based on how little a writer knows about the Panthers.
    • When I saw that I was thinking the same thing.  If Evero does have a great season and gets hired as a head coach I wouldn't mind see McD as our DC.  If we do poorly as a team, I definitely would want him to be the front runner for HC.
    • But it's not about not upsetting a player under contract, it's about not causing a rift in the locker room. The players love Bryce, whether as a person or a player doesn't matter.  You can't spend a Top 10 pick on a QB and then still start your #1 overall pick in the last year of their contract. That act alone will cause a massive locker room rift/distraction that would be unavoidable.  Some players will question why you "wasted" a Top 10 pick on a QB you're not going to start instead of someone who can help right away.  While others will question why we are keeping Bryce around for the season when it's clear he's not the future guy at that point. It would just make for a bad start to the rookie's career while causing locker room distractions.  Again, I'd bet this has never happened in this league before with any 1st round QB, let alone the #1 overall pick, and there is a reason for it, which is that it would be epically stupid to do. And I used the Vikings as the example as they're the closest I can think of, because again, there isn't a direct comparison as nobody has ever done it because it's that dumb of an idea (no offense lol).
