Don't get me wrong, I would much rather have Foles than Darnold, and I know the coaching staff and FO would as well. Probably the whole team would rather have him, but we're stuck. 

We screwed up with that fifth year option. Vote of confidence shot us in the foot and now we've got to limp. Serves us right.

It would be more for a veteran mentor for Corral.  Wouldn't even have to cut Sam if they cut PJ.
